Is an Xbox port planned?
The official listings reviewed do not confirm a future Xbox release, but they also do not prove that a port will never happen. A Microsoft Community thread asking when the game would come to Xbox is a player discussion, not an announcement from Endnight Games. Its response directs the player to contact the developer.
Is The Forest the same game as Sons Of The Forest?
No. Sons Of The Forest is a separate sequel, not an Xbox edition of the original. Steam lists the sequel as a Windows PC game developed by Endnight Games Ltd and published by Newnight. Its listed minimum PC requirements—including Windows 10 64-bit, 12 GB RAM, an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, and a GTX 1060 3 GB or Radeon RX 570 4 GB—apply to the sequel listing, not automatically to The Forest.

What about co-op?
The co-op figures differ by source and platform. Endnight’s game-page copy describes cooperative multiplayer for up to eight players. PlayStation’s PS4 storefront listing says it supports up to four online players with PS Plus and labels online play optional. These are separate platform statements, not a single universal player limit.
