The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is officially being remade for Nintendo Switch 2, but Nintendo’s published announcement and product listing do not confirm exclusive DLC. Several extras are confirmed—including amiibo-unlocked masks and companion-app features—but Nintendo describes them separately, not as DLC.
Has Nintendo confirmed exclusive DLC?
No. Nintendo’s September 8, 2026 announcement and Nintendo Switch 2 product listing announce the remake and describe its features, but neither announces exclusive DLC. That means DLC is unconfirmed in those official materials; it does not establish that Nintendo will never announce it.

What extras has Nintendo actually announced?
Amiibo-unlocked masks
Nintendo says Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo figures are planned for 2027 and will unlock masks with a retro graphical style. The announcement presents this as an amiibo-linked in-game feature, not DLC.
ZELDA NOTES app functions
The Nintendo Switch App section is planned to include adventure tracking, location hints, a virtual ocarina and a quiz. Nintendo specifies that app use requires a compatible smart device, a Nintendo Account and a persistent internet connection. These are companion-app functions, not an announced DLC pack.

Ocarina interaction
Nintendo says players can hum a learned melody within microphone range for Link to play it in-game. The game is also expected to respond to playable and electronic ocarinas; Nintendo says those instruments are expected later in 2026. The announcement does not say either is required to play the game.
What is confirmed about the remake?
Nintendo lists The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2, with a release date of November 5, 2026. Nintendo of America confirms a physical edition. Its first print run has special packaging with a textured foil cover while supplies last.
Nintendo’s US announcement lists a regular price of $59.99. That is a US-market listing, not a universal price or confirmation of a current retailer offer.
The remake’s announced changes go beyond updated visuals. Nintendo describes voiced cutscenes, expanded character dialogue, symphonic orchestral music, reworked camera and movement controls, faster loading and smoother performance. The announcement also mentions a continuing day-and-night cycle in towns and a freely movable camera in remodeled locations. These are Nintendo’s descriptions, not independently tested performance findings.

The confirmed Switch 2 exclusivity applies to the remake itself: Nintendo lists it as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. That platform exclusivity is not evidence of exclusive downloadable content. Until Nintendo announces a DLC release, its content, price or availability, treat claims that the remake is “getting exclusive DLC” as unconfirmed.
