Yes—Minecraft: Java Edition has a documented command for teleporting directly to the Nether: /execute in the_nether run teleport 0 64 0. Replace the three coordinates with your destination. This exact cross-dimension example appears in Mojang’s Java Edition Snapshot 18W02A notes.
How to teleport to the Nether in Java Edition
- Open chat or the command input for your world.
- Enter
/execute in the_nether run teleport 0 64 0and submit it. - To choose a different destination, replace
0 64 0with the X, Y, and Z coordinates you want to reach in the Nether.
The execute in the_nether part makes the command run in the Nether; teleport moves the executing player to the specified coordinates. Mojang’s snapshot notes describe this syntax as an example of teleporting to another dimension.

Does the command work in Bedrock Edition?
Do not assume that this Java command works in Bedrock Edition. Microsoft’s Bedrock documentation covers teleporting entities to coordinates or targets and running commands in a dimension, but those references do not confirm that the Java cross-dimension syntax above works in Bedrock.
What permissions do you need?
Commands may be unavailable until they are enabled. In a Java single-player world, Minecraft’s official guide identifies the Allow Commands setting; in a Bedrock single-player world, it identifies Allow Cheats. On a multiplayer server or hosted world, the server or host controls command permissions. See Minecraft’s command guide for the permission overview.
