Where does Mew spawn in Pixelmon?
The Pixelmon Wiki’s detailed Legendary Pokémon table lists Mew in Jungles, during the day, with the location categories Land, Manmade, and Indoors and a Jungle Pyramid condition. The dedicated Mew page separately lists its spawn time as Day and location as Land. These entries give different levels of detail, so treat the detailed table as a guide rather than a guarantee for every release or server. The table gives Mew a rarity value of 0.1. That is the wiki’s listed rarity entry, not a promise that Mew will appear after a particular amount of play or a direct estimate of how long a search will take.
How legendary spawn attempts work
The wiki describes general legendary spawn chances as occurring every 12.5 to 29.16 minutes. That is an interval between chances for a legendary spawn attempt—not a Mew-specific timer. A viable attempt has a default 30% chance of succeeding, and whether an attempt can happen depends on factors including eligible biomes and spawn locations, player distance, and available terrain. These general mechanics do not mean Mew will appear on that schedule.

Because the pages do not state a version-specific release context, and server configuration can affect gameplay, check the spawn rules for the Pixelmon version and server you are playing on if Mew does not appear under the listed conditions.
Can you get Mewtwo from Mew?
Yes. A Cloning Machine can use Mew in an attempt to create Mewtwo, but the attempt can fail and produce Ditto instead. The Pixelmon Wiki describes the machine as one that “can be used to extract DNA from Mew to form Mewtwo.” Each Mew can be used three times; after the result exits, Mew returns to your party. Cloning Machine requirements and odds
The machine requires a Green Tank, an Orange Tank, and a Cloner Cord, along with three blocks selected from iron, gold, or diamond. The wiki says the success chance is the sum of the three block values divided by 40. It lists a 7.5% minimum with three iron blocks and a 37.5% maximum with three diamond blocks. These are the wiki’s stated machine chances, not odds for finding Mew in the wild.
The machine’s crafting page lists the components for the tanks and cord. Check that entry and your server’s configuration before gathering materials, since the feature may be disabled.

Finding Mew: what to keep in mind
- Look in the Jungle biome during the day; the detailed table also identifies a Jungle Pyramid condition and Land, Manmade, and Indoors location categories.
- Do not interpret the general legendary attempt interval as a schedule for Mew to spawn.
- Verify the spawn table against your Pixelmon version and server configuration.
- If you already have Mew, a configured Cloning Machine offers a separate chance to obtain Mewtwo, with Ditto as a possible failed result.
