As of October 8, 2026, PlayStation has not confirmed a State of Play for tomorrow, October 9. Its official State of Play page lists the September 3 broadcast as the latest show and says future schedules will be announced through PlayStation Blog and @PlayStation on X.
Has PlayStation announced a State of Play for October 9?
No October 9 broadcast is confirmed in the official schedule information available as of October 8, 2026. The State of Play page identifies September 3, 2026 as the latest broadcast; that is not evidence of an October event.
PlayStation says broadcasts are scheduled throughout the year and directs viewers to its State of Play page, PlayStation Blog, and @PlayStation on X for news of the next livestream. Because schedules can change, check those official channels for a later announcement before making plans.
What happened at the September 3 State of Play?
PlayStation announced two programs back to back for September 3: a general State of Play and State of Play Japan. The announcement was published August 31 on PlayStation Blog.

The second program focused on deep dives into upcoming games from studios in Japan and Asia. PlayStation described it as a separate, Japan-focused show following the general broadcast.

How to watch an announced State of Play
PlayStation lists PlayStation.com and its official Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook channels as viewing options. The September 3 announcement also said its two programs would stream on YouTube and Twitch. No specific console or other physical product is needed to watch online.
The September broadcasts were scheduled for 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. CEST / 10:00 p.m. JST. The general show was in English with Japanese subtitles; State of Play Japan was in Japanese with English subtitles. Those times and language details apply to the September 3 programs only, not to a future event.

Why an older State of Play duration does not confirm tomorrow’s show
In a separate announcement published February 9, 2026, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Tim Turi said that the February 12 broadcast would have “60+ minutes” of news, gameplay updates, and announcements. That duration referred to the February show only; PlayStation has not established it as the length of an October broadcast.
