Yes—but Epic confirms a daily cap specifically for XP from eligible Fortnite Creative maps, not one published limit that applies to every mode. Creative XP can also diminish as you earn it, and Epic does not state the cap amount or an exact reset time in its player-facing guidance.
What Fortnite’s XP limit applies to
Epic lists several ways to earn XP, including Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal quests, passive match XP, Kickstart quests, and eligible Creative maps. Its support page explicitly says eligible Creative maps award XP up to a daily cap. It does not say that all those sources share one cap or publish a complete cap table by mode. Epic’s XP guide also describes Supercharged XP after a player has not played for a day or more, periodic double-XP events, and Victory Crown bonuses.

| Eligible Creative maps | XP is limited by a daily cap. | The cap amount and exact reset time. |
| Creative accolades | XP can diminish after a threshold across Creative games; repeating actions or replaying the same game can further lower awards. | A fixed XP value for each accolade. |
| Quests and match play | They are listed as XP sources. | Whether they share a cap with Creative or have a comparable mode-by-mode limit. |
| UEFN islands | Epic’s April 21, 2023 announcement described hourly XP grants at that time. Epic’s creator guidance says accolade rewards are weighted and islands are calibrated after publication. | Whether the 2023 hourly timing remains current, or a universal current cap. |
Why Creative XP can drop or stop
Epic describes diminishing returns across Creative games: after a threshold, each accolade earns less XP. Repeating the same actions or playing the same game repeatedly can also reduce awards. Epic says the reduction happens automatically; island creators cannot customize it. Epic’s Creative XP support article explains these reductions.
Accolade rewards are not necessarily fixed amounts. In its creator-facing explanation, Epic says, “The amount is not a set amount of XP.” The award is weighted based on factors such as the number of Accolade devices and how frequently accolades are awarded, and islands go through calibration after publication. See Epic’s Accolade device guidance.

What to do if Creative XP stops
If you stop receiving XP across Creative games, Epic advises waiting 24 hours and trying again. That is the support recommendation—not a guarantee that XP will reset at an exact time, and not the published size of the daily cap.

Epic’s Fortnite Developer Rules prohibit island creators from misleading players about XP gains and restrict XP-related terms in specified island promotional metadata. A map promotion promising a particular amount or unusually fast XP should not be treated as an official cap or reliable guarantee.
