Is Throne and Liberty delayed again? No new launch delay is established by the latest official information. The game’s Western/global launch was moved to 1 October 2024; a separate announcement says Western live operations are planned to move from Amazon Games to FirstSpark Games / NC in Q4 2026. That is an operator transition, not a postponed launch.
What was the Throne and Liberty launch delay?
On 16 August 2024, Amazon Games announced that the global launch would move to 1 October 2024. Players with an Early Access Pack were scheduled to enter on 26 September. The publisher said it was using feedback from the July open beta to make changes before launch, including adjustments to combat, progression, guild matching and quality-of-life systems. Amazon Games’ launch-date announcement explains the shift.

NC reiterated the 1 October date on 19 August 2024 and listed work that included Skill Specialization, fishing, cooking and Amitoi Expeditions, alongside combat, progression and guild matching. NC also reported that the first day of the July 2024 open beta drew more than 60,000 concurrent players, attributing the figure to SteamDB. NC’s launch announcement contains those details. Laura Sturr, GM of Operations at Amazon Games, said the beta feedback uncovered items needing adjustment before launch.
What is changing in Q4 2026?
In an announcement dated 12 August 2026, the game’s official Western site said Amazon Game Studios planned to transition Western live operations to FirstSpark Games / NC starting in Q4 2026. The announcement does not give a specific transition date. This concerns which company operates the existing service; it does not announce a new launch date or say that the game is closing. The official transition announcement and FAQ provide the current player guidance.

What should current players expect from the transition?
The official FAQ says player accounts, characters, progression, inventory and other game data are expected to transfer unless a player opts out. Existing Steam and console accounts are expected to remain in use. Players who continue after the transition will need to accept NC’s Terms of Service and complete any required activation steps. Current regions and realms are expected to remain as they are.
The FAQ says regular updates and bug fixes will continue, while major updates such as Nix may be held until after migration to support the data transition. It had not confirmed the exact transition date or possible downtime. Check the official transition page for changes to those details.
Is the game still live?
Yes. The official news index showed October 2026 material, including an Update 4.15.0 notice dated 7 October 2026. That supports describing Throne and Liberty as a live game receiving updates at that time; it does not establish what may happen after that date.
