There is no confirmed Fortnite release for Future Trunks in the sources reviewed. The claim that he was “coming to Fortnite soon” appeared in a FortniteLeaks community post in May 2024 and was attributed to leaker Wensoing—not announced by Epic Games. Epic has confirmed earlier Dragon Ball collaborations, but those do not confirm a Trunks outfit, release date, or bundle.
Where did the Trunks claim come from?
A May 2024 post in the FortniteLeaks community used the headline “Future Trunks from Dragon Ball Z is coming to Fortnite soon!!!” and attributed the claim to Wensoing. That post establishes that the rumor was discussed; it is not an official Fortnite announcement or proof that the claim was accurate. FortniteLeaks community post
The wording “coming soon” belongs to that 2024 post. It should not be read as a current release update: the sources reviewed contain no newer official confirmation.
What Dragon Ball content has Fortnite officially announced?
The 2022 collaboration
Epic announced its first Fortnite x Dragon Ball collaboration on August 16, 2022. It featured Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus, alongside themed outfits and cosmetics, quests, Dragon Ball Adventure Island, and gameplay items. Epic’s announcement identifies Bulma as Vegeta’s wife and Trunks’ mother, but does not announce Trunks as a Fortnite character. Epic’s 2022 Dragon Ball announcement

How to tell whether a Fortnite crossover is confirmed
For a character release, look for a dated announcement or verifiable listing from Epic or the relevant rights holder. A community post can point readers toward a rumor, but replies or repeated reposts do not turn it into confirmation.
- Authority: An Epic or licensor announcement is stronger evidence than a community leak post.
- Date: Check when the claim was posted. The Trunks post surfaced in May 2024; that date does not establish a current launch window.
- Verifiable details: Look for an official asset, shop listing, or dated release announcement. The reviewed sources provide no official Trunks item list or release date.
Epic has separately documented Dragon Ball items appearing early in the Web Shop, but that support information concerns a shop incident and does not corroborate the Trunks rumor. Epic Games support information about the separate shop incident
