Ultron is already a playable character in Marvel Rivals—he was officially announced for Season 2.5 in May 2025, not merely teased in a leak. The old “upcoming character” framing is out of date: official 2026 game updates still refer to Ultron as part of the roster.
Was Ultron revealed in a leak?
The headline’s leak framing is historical, not a description of Ultron’s current status. Marvel Rivals officially announced him as a playable character in Dev Vision Vol. 6, published May 22, 2025. That official announcement superseded any earlier leak or rumor; it is the reliable source for when his playable arrival was confirmed.
When did Ultron join Marvel Rivals?
The May 22, 2025 announcement said Ultron would arrive with Season 2.5, which was scheduled to launch May 30, 2025. The announcement establishes the planned release timing; it does not make him an upcoming character today.
Is Ultron still in the game?
Yes. Official Marvel Rivals materials from September 2026 treat Ultron as an existing part of the game. The September 3, 2026 patch notes list his B-Boy Prime cosmetic bundle, including chroma and VFX items, with availability from September 4 at 02:00 UTC. A separate September 8, 2026 balance post details a change to his Imperative: Firewall ability: its bonus health was reduced, and it gained a three-second self-heal effect.

What the old headline gets wrong
- “Upcoming” is stale: Ultron was announced in May 2025 for Season 2.5, and later official updates discuss his cosmetics and ability.
- A leak is not the current confirmation: the official Dev Vision announcement is the source to rely on for his playable addition.
- Cosmetics are in-game content: the B-Boy Prime items are a digital bundle, not a separate Ultron game or physical product recommendation. Marvel Rivals is presented by its official site as free to play.
