Team17 lists the game on all those platforms, and the official platform pages confirm online multiplayer, but the listings reviewed do not document cross-platform matchmaking. This is a careful conclusion from the available official information, not an explicit Team17 statement that cross-play is impossible.
What “cross-platform” means for Worms W.M.D.
Worms W.M.D. being available on several systems does not mean those systems share online matches. Cross-platform availability means you can buy or play the game on multiple platforms; cross-play means players using different platforms can join the same online match.

Online multiplayer is confirmed on these product pages, but none of the cited W.M.D. listings establishes which, if any, cross-platform pairings are supported. In particular, PS4 playability on PS5 is not evidence that PlayStation players can match with Xbox, PC, or Switch players.

Can PC players play with PS5, Xbox, or Switch?
The official listings reviewed do not confirm shared matchmaking between PC and any console, or between the console platforms themselves. If you and your friends own different versions, do not buy another copy expecting cross-play to connect them. Check that everyone is using a compatible platform group before purchasing or arranging a match.
Is Switch local wireless cross-play?
No. Nintendo lists local wireless separately from online multiplayer. Its local wireless mode requires one Switch console and one copy of the game per player; it does not establish that Switch players can join online games with other platforms. Nintendo also says Switch online play requires an internet connection and Nintendo Account, and describes paid online membership requirements. Check Nintendo’s current terms for the applicable membership requirement.

Don’t confuse W.M.D. with Worms Rumble
Team17 explicitly advertises “full multi-platform cross-play” for Worms Rumble, naming PlayStation generations and PC in its cross-platform play section. That claim applies to Rumble, a different game; it is not evidence that Worms W.M.D. has cross-play. Team17’s Worms Rumble page
