Which versions and regions are affected?
The reported listing includes both the PS4 and PS5 versions. PlayStation LifeStyle says its departure list was based on Japanese and Asian PlayStation Stores and notes that slight regional variations are possible. Check the Last Chance to Play panel on your console or the PlayStation Store for your account’s region before relying on October 20 as your deadline. PlayStation LifeStyle’s report explains the regional qualification.
What happens when the catalog access ends?
If your access is through the Extra or Premium Game Catalog, you can no longer launch the game through that catalog after it departs. To continue playing, you will need a separate entitlement, such as purchasing a PS4 or PS5 copy. Check the edition and region in the store before buying; renewing or upgrading a subscription should not be treated as a way to retain a title that has left the catalog.

Sony distinguishes rotating Game Catalog titles from monthly games claimed into a library: some catalog games have an end date, while claimed monthly games remain playable as long as the membership is active. If you think you claimed this game separately as a monthly game, check your library and license rather than assuming the catalog departure removes that separate entitlement. Sony’s PlayStation Plus games and membership page describes these access differences.

Sony announced on October 15, 2025 that Yakuza: Like a Dragon would join the October Game Catalog lineup, available starting October 21, 2025, for PS4 and PS5. That announcement documents when it was added, not the later removal date. Sony’s October 2025 announcement lists the game among that month’s catalog additions.
