Families connected to the Jersey Hitmen’s 10U team in Wayne, New Jersey, were reportedly suspended from practices and games after four mothers wore custom letterman jackets bearing team branding. Dexerto reported the dispute on Oct. 6, 2026, citing excerpts from an email attributed to team owner Bobby Reiss; the report does not establish the contract terms or whether the suspensions remain in effect.
What reportedly happened
Dexerto says four mothers wore custom letterman jackets in an Instagram photo posted on Sept. 20, 2026. The report says the post was later deleted. The families were connected to the Jersey Hitmen 10U team, which plays out of Ice Vault Arena in Wayne, New Jersey.
According to Dexerto’s account of an email attributed to owner Bobby Reiss, the jackets involved alleged unauthorized use of team branding. Reiss reportedly wrote that parents and children were suspended from practices and games until restitution was paid to the organization. The report also says families were directed to purchase apparel through the team store.
What the owner reportedly said
Dexerto reproduced this excerpt from the email it attributed to Reiss: “I cannot permit or tolerate these actions. Therefore, the parents on this team and their children are suspended until restitution is made to our organization.”

In other excerpts quoted by Dexerto, Reiss called the matter “one of the most egregious violations in recent memory” of a policy in the team’s contracts. He also reportedly wrote, “I don’t relish taking it out on the players, but I cannot see any other way to deal with this in the immediate time.” These are statements attributed to Reiss in Dexerto’s report, not independently reviewed primary documents.
What the report says about restitution
Dexerto reported that the demand included a 15% royalty. It did not establish the total amount sought, and the reported figure should not be treated as a verified contract term or proof that a payment was made.
