July 2025’s release calendar includes new games and platform-specific editions across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and other platforms. The dates below are selected listings, not a complete worldwide registry: schedules vary by territory and by whether they include digital-only releases, ports, early access, expansions, or mobile games.
How to read this July 2025 release calendar
This calendar brings together selected entries from publisher and platform roundups and editorial release schedules. It is organized by the date stated in those listings, with platforms included where the available sources specify them. A date can differ between listings when they cover different regions or release formats; check the relevant regional storefront or publisher page before buying.

Nintendo UK notes that “all the dates listed are accurate at the time of publication.” That qualification matters for a retrospective calendar: a published schedule is not a guarantee that every territory or platform had the same launch date.

Why release calendars can disagree
“Release date” can refer to a particular platform, territory, or format rather than one universal launch. Some schedules identify early-access launches; Japan-focused schedules can include download editions and additional-content releases. A port’s date may also differ from the original game’s release date. For that reason, entries should be compared using four details:
#1 Best Overall
- Redeemable at US GameStop, EB Games, Babbage's, Electronic Boutique, EBX, Planet X, and Software Etc. stores. Also redeemable online at and GameStop.com and EBGames.com.
- Over 6,100 stores located throughout the United States.
- GameStop. Power to the Players.
- Redemption: Instore and Online
- No returns and no refunds on gift cards.
- Platform: confirm the listing applies to the system you own.
- Territory: a US, UK, or Japan date may not establish the date elsewhere.
- Release type: distinguish a full launch from early access, a port, or an expansion.
- Format: check whether the listing covers digital, physical, or both.
How complete is this list?
It is a useful selection of July dates, not a claim that every game released worldwide that month is listed. Publisher roundups are selective, and editorial calendars do not all use the same inclusion rules. For example, Eastasiasoft announced eight of its own releases scheduled across consoles and PC during July; that describes the publisher’s slate, not the total number of games released that month. Eastasiasoft’s news page.
Likewise, Famitsu’s Japan-focused calendar includes download editions and additional-content listings, so its results cannot be treated as a global total. The safest way to verify a game is to check its publisher or regional platform page for the specific system and territory you care about.
