Kakarot Daima Part 2 on PC: What the Demon Realm Expansion Delivers

By VGSources Team 9 min read

Verdict: DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT – DAIMA – Adventure Through The Demon Realm PART 2 is a substantial story add-on rather than a small character pack. It adds two Demon World areas, a new scenario leading to King Gomah, Vegeta (Mini) and Goku (Super Saiyan 4), new transformations, super attacks, soul emblems and Demon Realm enemies including Tamagami Number Two and the Gendarmerie Force. It launched on Steam on January 14, 2026, and does not require you to finish the main campaign or Part 1. It does require the Steam base game.

This is an evidence-based PC buying guide and content review, not a hands-on performance test. The available material establishes the DLC’s structure, access rules and system requirements, but it does not establish PC frame rates, loading behavior, stability, playtime or difficulty from independent testing.

What Part 2 is and when it released

Adventure Through The Demon Realm Part 2 is paid downloadable content for DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT, developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco. Steam lists January 14, 2026 as the release date. Bandai Namco’s publisher announcement appeared on January 15 and described the content as available now for all platforms; the one-day difference reflects the store release date and the date of the news post, not two separate launches.

The add-on continues the Dragon Ball DAIMA storyline. The action moves through the First and Second Demon Worlds toward a confrontation with King Gomah. The official descriptions identify Tamagami Number Two and the Gendarmerie Force as enemy encounters, with Tamagami Number Two also receiving a specifically highlighted boss fight.

Bandai Namco’s announcement summarizes the package this way:

“This DLC Pack features two new playable characters, enemy encounters from the Demon Realm and a formidable boss fight against Tamagami Number Two, available now for all platforms.”

The statement is a corporate publisher description, not a quoted comment from a named developer or critic. That distinction matters when separating confirmed features from independent evaluation.

What the DLC includes

Steam lists a new scenario, playable characters, maps, transformation forms, super attacks and soul emblems. The store description supplies the clearest outline of the actual setting and story endpoint.

Two new Demon World areas

The First Demon World and Second Demon World are listed as new stages. They provide the locations for the DAIMA continuation rather than simply reskinning an existing KAKAROT region. The descriptions do not specify their map sizes, optional activities, enemy density or traversal changes, so those details should not be treated as established specifications.

Two playable characters

Vegeta (Mini) and Goku (Super Saiyan 4) are the named playable additions. Their forms are tied to the DAIMA storyline and are separate from a generic costume change: the official listing calls out new transformation forms and super attacks alongside the characters.

New combat and progression items

The advertised additions include new super attacks and soul emblems. Soul emblems are part of KAKAROT‘s community-board progression system, but the available description does not give the number of new emblems, their bonuses, board placement or whether they are earned through combat, quests or story rewards. Likewise, no damage values, skill trees or transformation multipliers are published in the supplied material.

Demon Realm enemies and the story’s boss

Tamagami Number Two and the Gendarmerie Force are specifically named enemies. The narrative is described as culminating in a fight against King Gomah, while Bandai Namco separately calls Tamagami Number Two’s encounter a formidable boss fight. The sources therefore establish both a major Tamagami confrontation and a King Gomah climax; they do not establish whether those are one continuous sequence, separate boss battles or how many other major encounters sit between them.

Does Part 2 require the main game or Part 1?

You need to own the Steam version of DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT. Steam explicitly lists the base game as a requirement, and the official game page makes the same condition for the DAIMA content. A console copy, a different PC storefront license or a disc does not grant access to the Steam add-on.

You do not need to clear the main story or Part 1. The Steam listing says Part 2 can be accessed without completing the main campaign and without clearing Part 1. That makes it possible to buy the chapter for its DAIMA content even if your save is early in the original game. It does not mean that earlier story events are irrelevant: you may encounter characters, systems or references whose context is easier to follow after playing the preceding material.

How to avoid buying the same content twice

Part 2 is sold separately, but it is also included in the DAIMA pack and in other bundles. Steam warns buyers about duplicate purchases. Before checking out, inspect your Steam library and the store’s ownership message:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Open the DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT store page while signed in to the account that owns your game.
  2. Check the downloadable-content list for Part 1, Part 2 and the DAIMA pack.
  3. Confirm whether Part 1 is already owned through an earlier purchase or bundle.
  4. Compare the pack’s contents with the standalone listing, including any bonus items, before paying.

Regional pricing and discounts change, so there is no reliable universal value verdict without checking the live store in your region. If you want only this chapter and already own Part 1, the standalone listing is the relevant comparison. If you want both DAIMA chapters and do not own either, compare the combined contents and current prices rather than assuming the bundle is cheaper.

Standalone Part 2 versus the DAIMA pack

Question Part 2 standalone DAIMA pack or another bundle
What it provides Part 2’s new scenario, Demon World stages, characters, forms, attacks and soul emblems. Part 2 plus the other content identified by the specific bundle, commonly including Part 1.
Base game needed? Yes, the Steam base game is required. Yes, the official game page states the DAIMA pack requires the base game.
Part 1 needed first? No. Part 1 completion is not required for access. No completion requirement is stated, but the pack’s purpose is to provide both chapters.
Bonus items Part 2’s listing does not establish the full pack-bonus inventory. Bandai Namco lists Ultimate Meat Feast, Mega Sacred Water, Purple Dino Horn and Awakening Water as DAIMA pack bonus items.
Best fit Players who specifically want the second chapter or already own Part 1. Players seeking both chapters and the listed bonus items, provided they do not already own overlapping content.
Price comparison Current regional price is not fixed. Current regional price and discount are not fixed; check Steam at purchase.

The table describes purchase fit, not a claim that one option is always better value. The correct choice depends on what your account already contains and the live regional prices.

PC system requirements

Steam lists the following requirements. The minimum operating-system line still names Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, but Steam also states that its client has supported only Windows 10 and later since January 1, 2024. In practical terms, a Windows 7 installation may satisfy the game’s old minimum specification while failing the current Steam client requirement.

Component Minimum Recommended
Operating system Windows 7 SP1 64-bit Windows 10 64-bit
Processor Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Intel Core i5-3470 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
Memory 4 GB RAM 8 GB RAM
Graphics GeForce GTX 750 Ti or Radeon HD 7950 GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon R9 280X
DirectX Version 11 Version 11
Storage 36 GB available space 40 GB available space
Network Broadband internet connection Broadband internet connection
Architecture 64-bit processor and operating system 64-bit processor and operating system

The 36 GB and 40 GB figures are the space Steam lists for the game requirements; leave additional room for updates and the operating system rather than treating the number as a recommended free-space target. The requirements do not specify a frame-rate target, resolution, graphics preset or ray-tracing mode, so they cannot predict performance at a particular setting.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

What can be judged about the PC version—and what cannot

The confirmed feature list supports a content judgment: Part 2 is built as a story chapter with new locations, named playable forms, combat additions and a boss-driven finale. It is not described as a cosmetic-only pack. The access rules also make it unusually easy to enter without finishing earlier campaigns.

There is no hands-on PC test evidence for this review. That means the following remain unverified here:

  • Average and minimum frame rates on specific CPUs or graphics cards.
  • Whether the minimum hardware targets a particular resolution or preset.
  • Shader-compilation stutter, traversal hitching, crashes or save-file issues.
  • Loading times between the First and Second Demon Worlds.
  • How long the scenario takes, including optional content.
  • Combat difficulty, boss fairness and the balance of the new attacks.
  • Keyboard-and-mouse behavior, controller support details and PC-specific interface options.

Do not read the publisher’s feature list as a performance guarantee. If your system is near minimum specifications, use Steam’s refund policy and your own hardware testing where applicable rather than assuming the recommended tier delivers a particular frame rate.

Reception and the limits of the available impressions

At the time the Steam page was accessed on October 13, 2026, it displayed a Mostly Negative user-review summary, with 36% positive among 38 Steam purchaser reviews. That is a small, changing sample of user feedback, not a critic consensus or a permanent quality score. The count and percentage can change as more purchasers review the DLC, so check the current listing before using the number as a buying signal.

A MeriStation impressions piece dated January 19, 2026 discussed the adaptation favorably and identified the climactic Gomah encounter as an audiovisual and gameplay highlight. Those were PS5 Pro impressions, not PC testing. They can indicate how one outlet viewed the story adaptation and finale, but they cannot establish Windows performance, input behavior or technical stability.

For context, Bandai Namco said in its January 15 announcement that KAKAROT had surpassed 10 million units sold since its 2020 launch. That is the franchise’s publisher-reported lifetime sales milestone, not a sales figure for Part 2 and not evidence that the DLC itself will suit every player.

Who should buy Part 2?

Buy it when these conditions match your situation

  • You own the Steam base game and specifically want the DAIMA continuation.
  • You want to play as Vegeta (Mini) and Goku (Super Saiyan 4).
  • New Demon World areas, Demon Realm enemies and a King Gomah storyline are more important to you than a standalone technical benchmark.
  • You are comfortable entering the chapter before finishing the main game or Part 1.
  • You have checked that your account does not already own Part 2 through a DAIMA bundle.

Wait or compare first when these conditions apply

  • You are buying primarily for guaranteed PC performance; the available evidence does not provide measured results.
  • You already own Part 1 and need to determine whether the standalone price beats the bundle in your region.
  • You are unsure whether your hardware meets the 64-bit, DirectX 11, memory and graphics requirements.
  • You want a complete DAIMA package and may receive duplicate content by purchasing Part 2 separately.
  • You are relying on the current Steam rating; the displayed percentage and review count are volatile.

How Part 2 fits into a playthrough

The DLC’s no-completion requirement gives you two practical ways to approach it. A newcomer can enter the DAIMA scenario without first clearing the main campaign, although doing so may reduce familiarity with the game’s characters and systems. An experienced player can treat Part 2 as a post-purchase chapter and bring an established save, while still not being forced to finish Part 1 first.

The story description places the First and Second Demon Worlds on the route to King Gomah and names Tamagami Number Two and the Gendarmerie Force as threats along the way. That makes the chapter most appealing to players who want a focused DAIMA storyline rather than another retelling of the original Dragon Ball Z arcs.

Final assessment

On the evidence available, Part 2 earns consideration as a meaningful narrative expansion for existing Steam owners. Its confirmed scope covers new stages, new playable forms, new attacks, soul emblems, Demon Realm enemies and a climactic King Gomah storyline, with Tamagami Number Two receiving a prominent boss encounter. The chapter is accessible without clearing the main game or Part 1, but the base game itself is mandatory.

The main reservation is not a missing advertised feature; it is the absence of independent PC testing in the available evidence. Anyone deciding on frame-rate quality, technical stability, playtime or combat balance should treat those questions as unresolved and consult current Steam feedback alongside their own hardware and refund considerations. Check bundle ownership before buying, because Part 2 is also sold inside the DAIMA pack and other bundles.
