Yes—Keanu Reeves voices the movie-styled Shadow in the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack for SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS. It is bonus DLC with a Reeves-voiced Shadow skin and Tokyo-inspired stages, not a retelling of the film or part of the main Shadow Generations campaign.
What the Keanu Reeves content includes
SEGA describes the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack as adding stages inspired by the film, with Shadow transported to Tokyo by a space-time distortion and facing G.U.N. troops. The pack also includes an exclusive movie Shadow skin featuring Reeves’s voice. SEGA’s product announcement identifies these as additional content for the game.

The tie-in was designed around Tokyo, a location Shadow visits in the movie. In a September 24, 2024 PlayStation Blog interview, series producer Shun Nakamura explained that the game and film were launching close together and that the content could introduce movie fans to the game. He stressed that it was not a direct movie story: “This content will not have a story which per se that would relate directly to the movie.” Instead, players control Shadow in a Sonic-game setting inspired by the city.
How to access Reeves’s Shadow voice
The base game is required. The Movie Pack can be purchased separately, or accessed through the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition or the Digital Deluxe Upgrade for the standard edition, according to SEGA. Nintendo UK also lists the Movie Pack as part of its Digital Deluxe package.

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS launched on October 25, 2024. SEGA describes it as a remaster of SONIC GENERATIONS paired with a new SHADOW GENERATIONS campaign. The Sonic portion brings Classic and Modern Sonic together across 2D and 3D stages; Shadow’s campaign adds Doom Powers and a story involving his past. The movie pack is a separate bonus, rather than the source of Reeves’s voice in the main campaign. SEGA’s launch announcement outlines the game and release date.

For context, SEGA Corporation announced on January 24, 2025 that worldwide sales had surpassed two million units. The company’s figure combines physical and downloaded copies across all platforms; it is a dated milestone, not a current sales total.
