Where to find the Key of Apostate
Look in the Putrified Ducts, west of Huntress’s home. The Hollow Knight Wiki places the key next to a Wardenfly corpse. This is the community-maintained reference’s reported location; Steam’s official game listing does not confirm this item-specific detail. Hollow Knight Wiki: Slab Keys
What the Key of Apostate unlocks
Use it on locks in the Slab bearing the Apostate mark. The Wiki lists two such locations:
- A large room in the northeastern part of the Slab, where opening the lock leads to a platforming challenge and a Mask Shard.
- A room north of the Bellway station, which leads toward the southernmost part of the region.
How it differs from the other Slab Keys
The Slab has three distinct keys, each matched to locks with the corresponding mark. They are separate items, not alternate names for one key.
