To complete Laboratores, wash at the trough beside the rescued woman, learn about the Semine wedding, agree to carry the tavern’s sacks, then follow the confrontation with Hans and Svatya through the pillory scene. The wedding questions and dice game are optional; according to the cited walkthrough, the third sack triggers the fight and the pillory sequence cannot be avoided.
Where Laboratores fits in the story
Laboratores is the fourth main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. It takes place in Troskowitz, after Fortuna and before Wedding Crashers. The quest opens with Henry and Sir Hans in a tavern, trying to find a way forward after the guards at Trosky turned them away.

How to start the quest and speak with the rescued woman
- Talk to Sir Hans in the tavern. The opening conversation starts the quest. The walkthrough says the dialogue options do not materially change progression; one option reportedly raises reputation, while the others have no effect.
- Wash at the water trough. Find the rescued woman near the tavern and wash at the bucket beside her before attempting to speak with her.
- Speak with her. She does not remember Henry, regardless of his response. The conversation introduces the wedding at the castle, and the innkeeper then asks Henry to work in exchange for the food he has already provided.
- Agree to help and ask about the wedding. The walkthrough recommends the replies “I’m always ready,” “Alright,” and “Alright, we’ll do it” for reputation. Say Henry is from Skalitz and mention hearing about a wedding to move the conversation forward; exhaust the remaining dialogue if you want the extra information.
Tell Hans about the job
Return to Hans at the table and talk through the available dialogue. The walkthrough recommends “Alright I’ll do it by myself” and “I’ll carry the sacks by myself.” It reports that asking Hans to do the work costs reputation because he considers the labor beneath a noble. These reputation effects are reported by the guide, not independently established across game versions or save states.

Optional wedding conversations and the dice game
You can ask Miller Kreyzl or Blacksmith Radovan, and Svatya Thrush, about the Semine wedding and von Bergow. These conversations provide context but are not required to carry out the sack job. Svatya may offer to help Henry get into the wedding, but the walkthrough describes this as deceptive: winning his dice game only reveals that his father makes invitations. You can skip the game and continue the main objective.

Carry the sacks into the pantry
- Find the cart on the path in front of the tavern.
- Take a sack from the back of the cart and carry it into the tavern pantry, the room on the right.
- Repeat until you have carried three sacks. The walkthrough reports that the confrontation between Hans and Svatya begins after the third sack.
Handle the confrontation and fight
When the argument starts, the walkthrough recommends “Don’t insult our dead companions” followed by “Cut it out” for reputation. A fistfight follows. The guide reports that the scene leads to the pillory whether Henry keeps fighting or not; letting stamina run down so the fight ends is described as the quickest way to reach the cutscene. Continuing to fight does not avoid the next scene.
Finish the pillory scene and continue
During the conversation with Hans at the pillory, you can argue, make peace, or say nothing. The walkthrough reports that these choices lead to the same outcome. After the subsequent cutscene, Henry is released and Hans leaves. Laboratores is then complete, and Wedding Crashers follows.

|---|---|
| Ask locals about the wedding | Optional information; not needed to progress the sack task. |
| Play dice with Svatya | Optional. Winning does not secure an invitation; it reveals that his father makes invitations. |
| Assign the sack job to Hans | The guide reports a reputation loss because Hans considers the work beneath a noble. |
| Keep fighting after the confrontation | The guide says the pillory scene still follows; letting stamina run down is its suggested quick route. |
| Choose a pillory dialogue response | Argue, make peace, or say nothing; the guide reports no change to the outcome. |
