The key choice comes after interrogating the prisoner in the eighth main quest, “Necessary Evil.” If the raid goes ahead, neither side offers a peaceful resolution: siding with Hashek costs Semine’s people their lives, while siding with Semine means fighting Hashek’s men and the estate is burned.

What to do before the interrogation
“Necessary Evil” is the eighth main quest. Before proceeding, finish any Demons of Trosky business that depends on the Knight’s Hall: PowerPyx warns that the hall locks at the start of the next main quest, making a related missable objective unavailable. To begin, speak with Hans Capon outside von Bergow’s chambers. PowerPyx’s walkthrough was published February 3, 2025.

How to interrogate the prisoner
Follow Hans to the torture chamber when you are ready, or speak to him and choose “Let’s get to it.” The interrogation can involve dialogue, skill checks, and torture. Failed checks may leave Henry without information; PowerPyx’s guide says torture yields information but warns that too much can kill the prisoner.
You need to learn where the bandits are and whether Semine helped them. For the route that prevents the raid, get the location—Nebakov—and keep Semine’s involvement out of the report.

How do I stop the raid on Semine?
- During the interrogation, obtain that the bandits are at Nebakov.
- Tell Hans to keep quiet about Semine.
- When reporting to von Bergow, say the bandits are at Nebakov and that nobody helped them there. Do not accuse Semine of helping.
Von Bergow sends soldiers to Nebakov, and the quest ends before the assault on Semine. PowerPyx associates this route with the “Silence is Golden” achievement; see its route notes.
If you already implicated Semine
If Henry previously implicated Semine during “Back in the Saddle,” the report may require the Speech check “I must have made a mistake.” PowerPyx reports succeeding with 22 Speech and 100% reputation. Treat that as the guide’s reported result, not a guaranteed universal threshold.
Should I tell von Bergow about Semine?
If your goal is to prevent the raid, no: report the Nebakov location but withhold Semine’s involvement. Reporting that Semine helped sends Henry and Hans with Hashek’s force to Semine. The confrontation becomes violent even if Henry tries to settle matters peacefully, according to PC Gamer’s guide (published February 4, 2025) and PowerPyx.
Should I side with Hashek or Semine?
Once the raid proceeds, choose based on who you want to protect: each route has a serious cost. The consequences below are described in the guides; they are not a cost-free resolution.

The accounts differ in emphasis on Hashek’s branch, so the table preserves what each guide reports rather than treating those descriptions as identical. For the Semine branch, PowerPyx says Henry reports to von Bergow the next morning.
What if Henry admits killing Hashek?
On the Semine route, admitting to von Bergow that Henry killed Hashek triggers a hanging scene. PC Gamer warns of the outcome, and PowerPyx describes it as a game over; the walkthrough directs players to reload and use a cover story instead.

- To avoid the assault on Semine: report Nebakov and conceal Semine’s involvement.
- If the raid has begun and you want Olda’s family to escape: side with Semine, then use a cover story about Hashek when reporting to von Bergow.
- If you side with Hashek: expect Henry to fight Semine’s men and the people at the estate to die, as the guides describe.
The game’s official site describes Kingdom Come: Deliverance II as choice-driven, saying, “Your actions shape Henry’s Destiny and how the world reacts to him.” The official game page lists editions, including a Standard Edition with the base game; check the listing for current platform and edition details.
