Meet Jan Žižka in the daytime to start; if he is not ready after the previous quest, sleep and return. The route below also flags the choices that matter for Rosa’s optional romance and for delaying the next main-story segment.
This walkthrough follows third-party guides, not official developer instructions. Their Oratores steps do not identify a tested game patch or platform, so patch-specific behavior is not established. PowerPyx’s guide is dated February 3, 2025.

Start Oratores at Suchdol
- Go to Suchdol and speak to Jan Žižka during the day. PowerPyx says the quest marker appears after 8:00 AM.
- If Žižka says he is not ready immediately after the preceding quest, sleep to trigger a cutscene, then return and speak to him again.
- Continue through the opening conversation. It sets up the plan to disrupt Sigismund’s silver and sends Henry with Lady Rosa to Ruthard Palace in Kuttenberg. PowerPyx reports that the opening conversation choices do not change the outcome.
Follow Rosa to Ruthard Palace
Follow Rosa through the passage. For reputation and the romance route, PowerPyx recommends choosing “Don’t worry, I’ll be with you,” then “So what?” and “Alright, I’ll carry you” at the flooded section. Carry Rosa through the water, set her down on the far side, and continue to the palace.

- Deal with the lowlifes in the courtyard.
- Respond to Rosa, then clear the enemies upstairs. PowerPyx recommends drawing them down the stairs so fewer can attack Henry at once.
- If you want the optional scene with Rosa, wash at the courtyard trough before entering her room.
How to get Rosa’s optional romance scene
The romance is conditional on events across multiple quests, not just the final conversation in Oratores. The walkthroughs describe the following prerequisites and choices:

- Complete Rosa’s missable “Rosa’s Book” task during “Taking French Leave.”
- During “Dancing with the Devil,” rescue Rosa without threatening to burn the tower. Gamer Guides says threatening to burn it prevents the later romance. Gamer Guides’ Rosa’s Book walkthrough also covers the earlier task.
- In Oratores, carry Rosa through the flooded section. LUDO.guide describes this as necessary for the scene.
- At Rosa’s room, use this dialogue sequence: “It’ll all be alright,” “Allies are our most valuable asset,” “I won’t let you go away!”, then “Kiss Rosa.”
PowerPyx and LUDO.guide describe the earlier-quest requirements; the conditions here are guide-reported rather than independently tested. If the scene triggers, Henry spends the night with Rosa; otherwise, he sleeps alone. LUDO.guide’s Rosa romance guide covers its quest conditions.
Find the treasury key and the tunnel breach point
- After the night, speak with Žižka.
- Go to Vavak’s house in Kuttenberg. The back entrance has an easier lock than the guarded front door.
- Look for Christian of Pisek inside; Vavak is not there. How Christian cooperates depends on how “Via Argentum” ended.
- Search the outhouse behind the house for the royal treasury key. It is at the southern tip of the marked search area.
- Return the key to Žižka, then ask Rosa about the underground passageways.
- Find Samuel at Ruthard Palace and follow him down through the stables into the tunnels.
- Two looters are in the way. Fight them or persuade them to leave through Ruthard Palace.
- Continue with Samuel and inspect the dark discoloration on the wall in the back corner; this marks the planned breach point. Then follow him back out.
Choose whether to continue to Loretz now
When ready, speak to Dry Devil and choose to go to Loretz. Ride after the cardinal until the cutscene. PowerPyx reports that the cardinal’s death at this point is automatic and cannot be prevented.

Afterward, Žižka asks whether Henry will join him. Saying “I’m coming with you” locks Henry into the rest of the story for a while. If you still have side content to do, choose “Alright, I’ll join you later” to defer that commitment.

Complete Oratores
- When you are ready to move on, learn the Italian phrases from Brabant.
- Collect the Italian clothes from the chest outside Rosa’s room.
- Talk to Father Godwin. Oratores completes and “The Italian Job” begins.
