The Devil’s Pack is the 15th main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, according to the PowerPyx walkthrough published February 3, 2025. After starting it at Devil’s Den, track down five missing comrades—Bohuta, Ranyek, Adder, Janosh, and Matthew—and report back to Dry Devil. Adder’s rescue and Janosh’s situation can turn deadly if left too long, so handle those leads promptly. This is a spoiler-full route; see the PowerPyx walkthrough and Game Checklists guide for the quest coverage summarized here.
Before you start
The quest becomes available after Speak of the Devil and appears alongside Into the Underworld. A 2026 guide recommends finishing Arrow-Head first if you want to avoid missing that task. The Devil’s Pack’s leads can be completed in different orders; the sequence below prioritizes the urgent rescues.

Get the five leads at Devil’s Den
Speak with Kubyenka and exhaust the dialogue options about the missing band members. The five to locate are Bohuta, Ranyek, Adder, Janosh, and Matthew. Kubyenka and Zizka are already accounted for in the group’s name, “The Dirty Seven.”
Rescue Adder near Pschitoky promptly
- Ask Eva, the butcher’s wife in Pschitoky, about Adder and follow the resulting marker east of town.
- At the tree, speak to the villagers preparing to hang him. The line “He belongs to the lord of Suchdol” can disperse the crowd if Henry has sufficient Charisma.
- If the dialogue approach fails, fight the villagers. Once they are gone, cut Adder down from the rope and speak with him.
Do not leave Adder at the tree: PowerPyx reports that delay can result in his death and a game over. Giving him a sword for revenge is not recommended by Game Checklists.

Free Janosh in Miskowitz
Talk to Bailiff Crux about Janosh and Matthew. Janosh is in the pillory after injuring Loyza. The guides describe different medicines for treating Loyza—PowerPyx names a bandage and Painkiller Brew, while the 2026 guide names Buck’s Blood—so check the current objective and item descriptions rather than assuming one cure works for every route.
Choose how to get Janosh out
| Approach | What it involves | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Treat Loyza and pay | Heal Loyza, then pay Bailiff Crux 500 Groschen for the pillory key, as described by PowerPyx. | Costs 500 Groschen and avoids having to pick the pillory lock or steal the key. |
| Pick the pillory lock | Use lockpicking to open the pillory. | Avoids the stated fee; requires a successful lockpick and may expose Henry if detected. |
| Steal the key | Take the key without paying the bailiff. | Avoids the stated fee, but risks detection while stealing. |
PowerPyx warns that if several days pass, Loyza may die and Janosh may be hanged. Resolve the situation soon after receiving the lead.
Find Matthew through The Collector
Bailiff Crux’s conversation starts The Collector side task. Follow and complete it to find Matthew. PowerPyx says Matthew is hostile and attacks; the guides agree that he will not rejoin the pack. The available walkthroughs establish The Collector as the lead to Matthew, but do not establish that the task permanently disappears if delayed.
Find Bohuta in Grund
During the day, look for Bohuta in the church cemetery at Grund. He has left the band and will not rejoin, but he points Henry toward Ranyek. He may invite Henry to pray at his brother’s grave; a respectful exchange can also lead to Bohuta’s Map. The map is an optional reward, not a required quest objective. Insulting Bohuta or failing a dialogue check can start a fistfight.
Recover Ranyek’s body at Bylany
- At the marked inn between Pschitoky and Bylany, ask Innkeeper Wolfram Raus about Ranyek and Adder.
- At the Bylany inn, speak with the dice players and follow them to the cesspit behind the inn.
- Agree to retrieve Ranyek, search the cesspit, lift out his body, and take his bow.
Ranyek is dead, so he cannot return to the band. The guides differ on how to handle the debt demand connected with recovering him; treat any negotiation or payment as an optional branch and follow the prompts you receive in your game.
Report back to Dry Devil and finish the quest
Once all five missing members have been located, return to Devil’s Den and report to Dry Devil. Adder and Janosh are the only two of the five who rejoin. Complete the group’s drinking celebration, then speak with Dry Devil again the next morning to finish the quest.
The guides describe The Dirty Seven as awarded for finding all five missing comrades, dead or alive, and completing the quest. PowerPyx’s page also includes player reports of delayed or missing unlocks, so the achievement may not appear immediately on every save.
