Fever Tonic ingredients
The in-game recipe calls for:
- Wine
- 3 feverfew
- 2 ginger
- 1 elderberry leaf
For this quest, the surgeon’s workshop in Crone Tower is the practical place to look: the quest walkthrough locates the Physician’s Journal, alchemy bench, and an ingredient chest there. It says wine is supplied at the bench and the chest holds the herbs. The workshop is across the castle from Captain Thomas. KCD2.org’s Thomas and rescue-route walkthrough describes access by either a kitchen route or a dialogue route.

How to brew Fever Tonic
- Pour wine into the cauldron.
- Add three feverfew and boil the mixture for two turns.
- Grind one elderberry leaf and add it to the cauldron.
- Add two ginger.
- Take a phial and distil the mixture at the still.

Once it is brewed, bring the tonic to Adela in the chapel at the top of the Maiden Tower in Trosky Castle. The objective is to use it to treat Captain Thomas; his recovery lets him intervene in the situation involving Hans Capon. The same walkthrough reports that a separate, harder-to-open chest may contain a ready-made Fever Tonic. It is an optional shortcut, not an additional item required alongside the brewed potion. Choose between the routes based on your situation:
