The official listings confirm platform availability and some platform-specific details, but they do not provide comparable graphics, frame-rate, loading-time or control tests—so there is no evidence-based performance winner here. The most useful choice depends on where you want to play and, for PC, whether your system meets Steam’s minimum requirements.
Which platforms have Kong: Survivor Instinct?
The official storefronts list the game for Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo lists a later Switch release date than the dates shown by the other storefronts.

The dates are those currently shown by the respective storefronts; they establish that the Switch listing is later, not why its release followed the other versions. Store availability and details can change. The Nintendo Canada listing also shows September 30, 2026 and a 1.8 GB file size: Nintendo Canada.
Is the Switch version the right choice?
Switch is the only platform in these listings with explicitly confirmed handheld and tabletop play, in addition to TV mode. Nintendo lists the game as a digital edition, with a 1.8 GB download and single-player play on one system. If playing away from a TV matters more than choosing a platform based on unverified performance comparisons, those are the concrete Switch-specific facts.

Nintendo cautions that compatibility and the play experience may differ on Switch Lite. Its listing does not state a Switch frame rate or provide comparisons with PC, PS5 or Xbox, so it cannot answer whether the game runs at 60 fps on Switch.
Kong: Survivor Instinct Switch vs. PC
Steam’s listing supplies minimum PC specifications, while the Nintendo listing identifies Switch play modes and download size. Those are different kinds of information, not a performance comparison. A PC that clears the minimums is not thereby guaranteed to deliver a particular frame rate or visual quality.

Steam minimum PC requirements
- 64-bit processor and operating system
- Operating system: Windows 8.1 or Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 2GB or AMD Radeon RX 460 2GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 9 GB available space
These are the minimums published on the Steam game listing, not recommended specifications or a benchmark. Steam separately states that its client supports Windows 10 and later as of January 1, 2024. That client-support policy is distinct from the game’s listed Windows 8.1 minimum: a Windows 8.1 game requirement does not mean the current Steam client supports Windows 8.1.
Is it on PS5 or Xbox?
Yes. The US PlayStation Store lists a PS5 version, and the US Xbox Store lists an Xbox Series X|S version; both show October 22, 2024 as the release date. The Xbox Store’s 60 fps+ label is an Xbox storefront capability listing. It is not a measured comparison and should not be applied to Switch, PC or PS5.

Do the versions have different graphics, frame rates or controls?
The cited official listings do not establish which platform has better graphics, a higher frame rate, faster loading or preferable controls. Nor do they provide comparable tests across the four platforms. In particular, the Xbox listing’s 60 fps+ capability label is not a cross-platform benchmark, and Steam’s minimum requirements do not predict the performance of every PC.
Choose based on confirmed needs instead: Switch for its listed handheld and tabletop modes, PC if your hardware meets Steam’s minimums and you prefer playing on your computer, or PS5/Xbox if you want the game on one of those consoles. A performance ranking would require comparable testing that these listings do not provide.

What kind of game is Kong: Survivor Instinct?
Nintendo describes it as a 2.5D action-adventure combining platforming, challenging combat and metroidvania-style exploration. Its publisher-provided story description follows oil-rig worker David as he searches for his daughter, Stacy, during a Titan attack. Nintendo places the Monsterverse story shortly after Godzilla vs. Kong and names Kong, Abaddon, the Hyenas and ORCA Σ technology. These are details from the listing’s description, not an independent assessment of the gameplay.
