KOORUI announced its G7 gaming monitor ahead of CES 2025 and said it unveiled the display at the show on January 8. The company called it the world’s first consumer-grade gaming monitor with a refresh rate of up to 750Hz. That is a narrower claim than “the world’s first 750Hz display,” and the announcement did not establish that the G7 went on sale under that name.
The G7 was specified as a 24.5-inch, 1080p TN monitor aimed at competitive gaming. In 2026, HKC said a separate 750Hz model, the ANT257PF, was shipping globally. That update makes 750Hz more than a CES talking point, but it does not confirm that the ANT257PF is the G7 or establish the G7’s retail status.
What happened to KOORUI’s 750Hz monitor at CES 2025?
KOORUI announced the G7 on January 2, 2025, saying it would show a 750Hz monitor at CES. On January 8, the company said the G7 had been unveiled at the show. HKC, KOORUI’s parent company, later described the G7 as a highlight of its CES lineup. The dates and event description come from KOORUI’s pre-show announcement, its January 8 follow-up, and HKC’s CES recap.
Those are three different milestones: an announcement that a product will be shown, an unveiling at an event, and a commercial launch. The CES statements establish the first two, not the third.

What did KOORUI say the G7 offered?
KOORUI’s published specifications described a compact esports-oriented display. These are manufacturer claims, not a set of independently verified test results.
| Specification | Published information | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Model | KOORUI G7 | Manufacturer identification |
| Screen and resolution | 24.5 inches; 1920 × 1080 | Manufacturer-published specification |
| Panel | TN | Manufacturer-published specification |
| Refresh rate | Up to 750Hz | Manufacturer claim; operating at that rate depends on a compatible signal path and system output |
| Response time | 0.5ms | Advertised figure; the announcement does not establish its measurement method or conditions |
| Color | Up to 95% DCI-P3, with quantum-dot film | Manufacturer claim; no independent color measurement is established here |
| HDR | HDR400 | Listed by KOORUI; independent HDR performance testing is not established |
| Intended use | Competitive FPS and MOBA gaming | Manufacturer positioning |
KOORUI’s specifications and product positioning appear in its announcement and CES unveiling release. A report by Tom’s Hardware also discussed the TN panel and quantum-dot film, but the advertised specifications should not be mistaken for independent measurements of a retail unit.
What does 750Hz mean in practice?
Refresh rate is how often a monitor can update its image. At 750Hz, the interval between refreshes is about 1.33 milliseconds. A higher refresh rate can make motion updates arrive more frequently, but it does not by itself guarantee lower total input latency or clearer motion: pixel transitions, overdrive, persistence, frame delivery and the rest of the system also matter.

| Refresh rate | Time between refreshes |
|---|---|
| 144Hz | About 6.94ms |
| 240Hz | About 4.17ms |
| 360Hz | About 2.78ms |
| 500Hz | 2.00ms |
| 600Hz | About 1.67ms |
| 750Hz | About 1.33ms |
The interval falls by about 0.67ms when moving from 500Hz to 750Hz. That is a real, increasingly small step—not a repeat of the much larger change many players notice when moving from a conventional 60Hz screen to a high-refresh display.
Keep four measures distinct:
- Refresh rate is the monitor’s maximum image-update frequency.
- Frame rate is how many frames the game and PC render. A 750Hz monitor cannot show 750 distinct game frames each second if the system supplies far fewer.
- Input latency is the delay between an action and its visible result; the display’s refresh interval is only one part of that chain.
- Pixel response time describes how quickly pixels change. KOORUI’s advertised 0.5ms is not an end-to-end latency figure, and its announcement does not state the measurement conditions.
Why choose a TN panel—and what is the trade-off?
TN panels have long been used in esports displays that prioritize fast pixel transitions and high refresh operation. The compromise is that conventional TN screens generally offer weaker viewing angles and less compelling contrast and color than many modern IPS, OLED or QD-OLED displays.
KOORUI’s quantum-dot film and up-to-95% DCI-P3 claim appear intended to improve the G7’s color performance. They do not, on their own, establish OLED-like blacks, contrast or HDR image quality. The 24.5-inch 1080p format is a practical fit for players who value high frame rates and a compact competitive setup; it is less compelling for users who want extra desktop space, high-resolution single-player games, or a display for creative work.

What would a PC need to run the monitor at 750Hz?
A buyer would need both a computer capable of producing very high frame rates in the chosen game and a supported video signal at 1920 × 1080 and 750Hz. KOORUI’s announcement does not document the final retail unit’s input configuration or the exact connection mode needed for that maximum, so a specific port, cable or GPU requirement cannot be confirmed from it.
Before buying any retail version, check the final model’s manual and specifications for the maximum refresh rate at the desired resolution, supported input and cable requirements, driver support, and any special monitor-menu setting. Also check whether variable refresh rate works at the maximum mode and whether the display’s overdrive introduces visible inverse ghosting. A game may be CPU-limited well before the graphics card reaches its limit; sustaining extreme frame rates may require an esports title, reduced graphics settings and a fast CPU.
If Windows or a game offers only a lower refresh rate, verify the selected monitor mode, cable and GPU output against the retail manual, then check the graphics driver and monitor settings. If the game itself is not producing enough frames, the monitor cannot create the missing frames. Reports of particular port combinations should not substitute for the final product documentation; for example, YugaTech reported a possible port list, but the CES announcement does not establish those details as final retail specifications.

Did the KOORUI G7 go on sale?
KOORUI said mass production was planned for 2025 and described a future global launch, but the cited announcements do not provide a confirmed G7 retail price or a country-by-country release record. The KOORUI US storefront reviewed for this article does not list the G7 among its displayed products; check the official KOORUI site for any later listing. The absence of a listing there is not proof that no unit was sold anywhere.
In a 2026 announcement, HKC said its ANT257PF, a 750Hz esports monitor under the Ant Esports brand, was shipping globally. That is evidence of a later 750Hz product in the same corporate display ecosystem, not proof that the ANT257PF is identical to the G7 or that it is available with a particular price, warranty or retailer in every country. See HKC’s 2026 announcement and the Antgamer site for the company’s brand information.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is likely to benefit from 750Hz?
The format is most relevant to competitive players whose games can run at exceptionally high frame rates and who prioritize motion updates over resolution or broad image quality. Professional esports players, high-level FPS players and display enthusiasts may have a reason to investigate it. Even for them, the benefit depends on the actual panel’s measured transitions, latency and motion behavior—not just its maximum refresh number.

For many players, the sensible choice is a display that better matches their PC and games. Consider the trade-offs rather than treating the highest refresh rate as automatically best:
- 360Hz: A high-refresh option that may balance competitive speed with wider choice of resolution and panel types.
- 500Hz or 600Hz: Closer to the extreme esports end while avoiding the assumption that every system or player needs 750Hz.
- 1440p high refresh: A stronger general-purpose direction for players who want both competitive play and sharper desktop or game imagery.
- OLED high refresh: Can offer strong contrast and fast pixel response, with different trade-offs in price, brightness behavior, text rendering and burn-in considerations.
- Dual-mode: Some monitors offer a high-refresh Full HD mode and a higher-resolution mode at a lower refresh rate; verify the exact modes on the model being considered.
What should you verify before buying an extreme-refresh monitor?
Because a headline maximum does not describe the whole display, check the following on the exact retail model and in your region:
- Whether the model is actually in stock locally, and the seller’s warranty and return policy.
- The maximum refresh rate at the resolution and input you intend to use.
- Independent response-time and overshoot measurements, rather than relying on an advertised millisecond figure alone.
- Motion clarity and whether adaptive sync is supported in the mode you plan to run.
- Color, contrast and HDR performance if the monitor will also be used for films, single-player games or creative work.
- Ergonomics, stand adjustment and the price difference against a 360Hz–600Hz or higher-resolution alternative.
- Whether your own games and hardware can sustain the frame rates needed to take advantage of the display.
Import listings deserve particular care: confirm the exact model and specifications, the return route, and whether local warranty service applies. A product marketed under another brand name should not be assumed to share the G7’s specifications or support.
Was the “world’s first” claim accurate?
The careful wording is that KOORUI claimed the G7 was the world’s first consumer-grade gaming monitor with a refresh rate of up to 750Hz. That claim concerns a consumer gaming monitor; it does not establish that the G7 was the first display of any kind, prototype or development panel to reach that rate. The company’s release documents its claim and CES unveiling, not an independent audit of a worldwide record.
