Kyedae Shymko and Tyson “TenZ” Ngo announced in February 2026 that their six-year relationship had ended. Kyedae said they had already been separated for some time before sharing the news, and described the decision as a mutual need to grow as individuals—not the result of wrongdoing or a single incident.
Why did Kyedae and TenZ break up?
Kyedae said that after spending much of their relationship sharing their work, hobbies and daily lives, they realized they had stopped growing as individuals. “Toward the end of our relationship, we came to a realization that wasn’t easy to accept: we had stopped growing as individuals,” she said in the announcement reproduced by Insider Gaming.
She also addressed speculation about a hidden incident: “There was no wrongdoing, no resentment, and no single event that caused this.” No further private reason was given in the reports available.
When did they separate, and when did they announce it?
The announcement was made publicly in February 2026, in a post on Kyedae’s X account, according to Dot Esports and Insider Gaming. Kyedae said they had “actually been broken up for quite some time” before going public. The reports do not give an exact separation date.
