Larian Studios reported over 248,000 downloads of the Baldur’s Gate 3 mod Withers Big Naturals in an August 4, 2025 update. That is a download count, not a verified count of 250,000 individual players: one person may account for more than one download.
What is the Withers Big Naturals mod?
Withers Big Naturals is a Baldur’s Gate 3 mod that changes Withers’ appearance. Its Nexus Mods page credits MaybeAdam as the author and describes it as giving Withers “a much needed upgrade.” The page lists April 13, 2024 as both its upload and last-update date. View the mod page on Nexus Mods.
What did Larian report about its downloads?
In Community Update #35, published August 4, 2025 for Baldur’s Gate 3’s second anniversary, Larian said the mod had been downloaded over 248,000 times. The same update said that since official mod support began in September 2024, players had uploaded over 8,500 mods to mod.io, generating 265 million total mod downloads. The headline’s 250,000 is a reasonable rounding of Larian’s “over 248,000,” but it should not be read as a count of unique players. Larian reported downloads, not distinct people, and the figure is a snapshot from August 2025 rather than a current live total.

Can you install it on console or use it in multiplayer?
Larian’s support FAQ says Patch 7 introduced an in-game Mod Manager and Toolkit. The FAQ describes supported mods as intended to work across platforms, including consoles following their mod-support rollout. However, that general policy does not confirm that this particular mod is currently available on every platform; check the in-game Mod Manager or the relevant platform’s supported-mod listing for its current status. The page on Nexus Mods alone does not establish present compatibility or platform availability.
For multiplayer, Larian says all participants need the exact same mods installed at the same version. The Toolkit used to create mods is PC-only, which is separate from installing supported mods. See Larian’s mod information FAQ.
