When did Last Epoch Season 2 release?
Tombs of the Erased launched on April 17, 2025, at 16:00 UTC, according to the official patch notes. The original date was April 2. On March 18, Eleventh Hour Games announced the move to April 17, saying it was concerned that a release scheduled close to another ARPG’s launch would divide players and hinder Season 2’s launch. That was the studio’s stated reasoning, not a measured outcome.
Game Director Judd “Mox” wrote in the date-change announcement: “It is with a heavy heart that we are forced to move our release date of Season 2 – Tombs of the Erased, to April 17th.”
What did Tombs of the Erased add?
The season’s central addition was the Woven, a faction of Weaver worshipers woven into new endgame activities and ways to gain power in the Monolith of Fate.

Tombs and Woven encounters
Monolith Echoes could spawn procedurally generated side zones called Tombs of the Erased. These areas featured Woven enemies, rewards, and a unique boss. The patch notes describe Silken Cocoons and possessed enemies, along with Memory Amber, a new currency. Defeating a Goldthread Fateweaver unlocked a reward chest that duplicated the current Echo bonus reward.
Cemeteries and the Altar of the Weaver
Cemeteries of the Erased arrived as a new Echo type. Each included an underground Cemetery and a Woven Firstborn boss; completing it granted access to the Altar of the Weaver. Woven Echoes could be used at the Altar, and Woven Enchanters at the end of Tombs and Cemeteries could enchant class-specific Idols.

What else changed in the Season 2 update?
The Woven content was only one part of the update. The official notes also cover substantial changes across progression, equipment, combat, and other endgame systems.
Itemization and crafting
- Idol Enchanting and Set Reforging.
- Rerolling Legendary Potential and unique, legendary, or set affixes.
- Swapping attribute affixes and crafting experimental items.
- New crafting materials and adjustments to the Eternity Cache.
Endgame, classes, and skills
Other patch areas included changes to the Monolith and dungeons, death and loot persistence, champion-related systems, and extensive class and skill updates. The full patch notes detail the individual changes and their conditions.

How large did the developer say the patch was?
In its April 11, 2025 patch-notes announcement, Eleventh Hour Games described Season 2 as “over 100 pages internally of patch notes” and called it the studio’s largest patch to date. Those are the developer’s own descriptions of its internal notes and patch; they are not independent measurements.
Season 2 supporter packs were announced as available through Steam and the in-game shop, as well as creator stores where enabled. That announcement does not establish whether those packs remain available now.
