League of Legends Patch 25.11 was scheduled to go live on May 29, 2025, at each region’s usual time. Riot published its notes on May 27. The patch covered more than Summoner’s Rift balance: it also changed Swiftplay champion select, behavior systems, sound settings, ARAM and Brawl. This is a historical summary of Riot’s 2025 patch; later updates may have changed the live game.

| Champion or item | Patch 25.11 change | Riot’s stated intent or context |
|---|---|---|
| Aatrox | Passive maximum-health damage decreased from 4–12% to 4–8% by level; Q sweet-spot damage increased from 160% to 170%; W damage type changed from magic to physical. | Riot said physical W damage should work better with conventional fighter items such as Black Cleaver. |
| Annie | Base armor increased from 19 to 23, armor growth decreased from 4.7 to 4, and W damage was reduced. | Riot described this as a light overall power reduction paired with a stronger early lane. |
| Garen | W and E were adjusted to support sustained fighter play. E’s cooldown decreased by rank and its critical damage modifier decreased. R damage changed from 150/300/450 to 150/250/350, with the same missing-health scaling. | Riot aimed to make fighter builds more functional and reduce reliance on high-burst critical-strike builds. |
| Kassadin | Base armor and E damage increased; R’s ability-power scaling and maximum damage decreased. | Riot said it wanted to ease his early curve while preserving level 16 as a power moment. |
| Diana, Lucian and Samira | Diana’s passive monster damage increased; Lucian’s E cooldown increased; Samira’s Q and R lifesteal effectiveness improved while W damage decreased. | These were among the other champion adjustments in the patch. |
| Horizon Focus | In-game cost decreased from 2,900 to 2,800 gold; ability power increased from 110 to 115. | These are item values recorded in Riot’s 2025 patch notes, not real-world prices or performance statistics. |
Swiftplay, behavior systems and sound
Swiftplay champion select
Champion select added sorting by “mastery” and “favourite.” Players could also view premade teammates’ keystone runes.
Leaving and negative behavior
Riot said LeaverBuster’s calculations would set a higher bar for acceptable AFK, disconnect or leaving behavior. Habitual leavers would receive harsher penalties sooner, while players with occasional technical problems could still recover. Riot also said it lowered detection thresholds specifically for higher-ranked players in the in-game negative-behavior system it called “Soft Inting.”

Kill and takedown sounds
Kill and takedown sound effects were added. They play only for the individual player and can be adjusted with the “Notifications & UI” volume slider.
ARAM balance and fixes
Riot said the ARAM changes restored some late-game ADC damage, shifted Seraphine’s power toward damage spells and reduced the percentage of stored health used by Sett’s W. Examples from the patch:

Riot described a broad balance update intended to make all champion classes feel viable in Brawl. It adjusted many champions’ damage dealt or taken, ability haste and cooldowns. Those Brawl-specific adjustments should not be confused with standard Summoner’s Rift champion values.

- Surrender timer: changed from 60 minutes to 15 minutes.
- Base minion-clearing strategy: Riot reduced minion damage for players who spent too long inside their base. The debuff cleared when they left and returned sooner afterward, addressing a strategy that could win from base.
