For free-to-play players, the safest starting point is to collect free rewards and strengthen a focused team; consider spending only when a current offer solves a specific need and its price fits a limit you set in advance. The live listing does not show offer contents or prices, so no particular paid bundle can be ranked as the best value.
Start with the free progression path
Before buying more summons or resources, claim the rewards already available through logins, story progress, quests, and events. StarBoom Studio’s Google Play listing advertises 400 free draws through logins and 3,000 through main-story progress. Those are publisher claims, not a guarantee that every player will receive the full totals: check the current in-game reward terms and your account’s eligibility.
A January 2025 Pocket Gamer guide says free players can earn Recruit Tickets, Jades, and some heroes through story progress and events. It also advises focusing upgrades on the heroes you actively use, because resources are limited. That guidance predates the game listing’s August 2026 update; event availability and balance may have changed, so confirm what is live in your game.
Build around the team you have
Use early rewards to fill a practical team rather than spreading upgrade materials across every hero you collect. A new summon is most useful when it addresses a real gap; otherwise, concentrating resources on your active lineup may help more than widening the roster.

Spend Jades only for a defined roster need
Pocket Gamer describes Jades as the primary premium currency and suggests considering shop items such as hero shards or Advance Crystals when they serve a current roster need. The guide allows for a few early summons if they fill a team gap, then recommends saving for a clearer priority.
The guide’s suggestion to wait until roughly 10,000 Jades before spending is its author’s rule of thumb, not a proven optimal breakpoint or a requirement. Treat it as one player-planning approach, not a universal threshold. Check the current shop and decide whether the item you want will help your team more than the alternatives available to you.

How to judge a paid offer in your game
The Google Play listing confirms that in-app purchases exist, but it does not provide the live catalog, bundle contents, or prices. Offers can vary by platform or region, so assess what your own store actually displays rather than relying on a recommendation for an unspecified bundle.
- Identify the need. Decide which hero, shard, Advance Crystal, or other resource would improve your current team. If you cannot name what the offer helps you do, skip it.
- Read the complete offer. Check the current price in your platform and region, the exact contents, and any stated limits or timing in the in-game store.
- Check the free alternative. See whether logins, story progress, quests, or events can provide the resource if you wait. Compare that time cost with the offer’s price.
- Set a personal spending limit first. Choose an amount you are comfortable spending before opening timed offers. That is a budgeting precaution, not a game rule.
- Buy only if the offer still fits. If it contains mostly items you do not need, or the decision is driven by event pressure rather than a concrete team goal, leave it.
Does War Island make spending necessary?
A player review dated June 24, 2025 said War Island felt time-sensitive and pay-to-win. StarBoom Studio replied the next day that “War Island represents the game’s cross-server system” and that “Most gameplay modes are cross-server to ensure sufficient player participation for smooth event operation and balanced reward distribution.” The review records one player’s concern; the reply explains the publisher’s cross-server approach. Neither establishes that purchases are required to participate or quantifies outcomes for free and paying players.

What can—and can’t—be called good value
There is no supported way to name a particular paid purchase the best value without its current price and contents. The most defensible rule is to compare the offer in your own store against your immediate roster need, its free alternatives, and your budget. A purchase may be personally useful if it supplies something you will use now at a price you accept; that does not make it objectively best for every player.
Legend of Kingdoms: Idle RPG is the StarBoom Studio game on Google Play, not another title with a similar “Kingdoms” name. The listing describes an idle hero-collection RPG with in-app purchases and says the Android app was updated August 11, 2026; it also lists Windows availability. Its advertised draw totals and modes are publisher-provided listing information, so check the live game for current terms.
