Start with the options that address your own biggest friction point: choose an accessibility preset as a starting point, then adjust text, sound, camera, controls, or timing one at a time. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight lists a broad set of accessibility features, but the official sources do not establish an exact Switch 2 button map or confirm feature-by-feature parity. Check the settings menus on your console rather than relying on an inferred layout.
What should I change first?
At first launch, the game offers Vision Accessibility, Hearing Accessibility, Motor Accessibility, and Motion Sickness presets. Treat them as convenient starting points, not fixed packages: open the accessibility menu afterward and keep, change, or undo individual settings to suit your needs.
- Choose the closest preset if you want a quick baseline, or skip presets and start with individual options.
- Adjust the most immediate obstacle. For example, increase text size if dialogue is hard to read, reduce camera motion if it is uncomfortable, or simplify repeated inputs if they are tiring.
- Try the change in play and return to the menu to refine it. You can pause during gameplay and cinematics, and review tutorials and tips from the pause menu.
The game is an open-world action-adventure built around combat chains, takedowns, gadgets, puzzles, exploration, and vehicles. Its seven base playable characters have distinct skills, progression trees, combos, and gadgets, so camera, aiming, and input preferences may feel different across activities and characters.
Can I change subtitles and captions?
Yes. Text size and subtitle size each have three options. Subtitles cover main and ambient dialogue, identify speakers, and have an adjustable background opacity. A speech text log also lets you review recent dialogue.

High Contrast Mode lets you adjust colors and outlines. Its background fades by default, but you can restore it. The feature list also describes color-coded information paired with another feedback method, such as shapes, adjustable full-screen effects, and options to show or hide HUD elements and markers.
What visual and camera options can help?
Explore the visual settings for adjustable field of view, dynamic field-of-view changes, camera shake controls, a center dot, and third-person camera recentering. These options serve different needs: a center dot can provide a stable visual reference, while shake and field-of-view controls let you tune camera behavior. Change one setting at a time so you can tell which adjustment helps.

What sound settings should I check?
The audio menu lists separate sliders for master volume, music, effects, and dialogue, so you can balance those elements independently. Other listed options include Night Mode to reduce loud/quiet differences, audio description during cinematics, and audio profiles including Mono. Use captions for key sound effects when you want important audio events represented in text.
Can I remap controls?
The publisher says gameplay inputs can be remapped, with map and pause as exceptions. Other listed control options include swapping sticks, independently inverting camera axes, adjusting each stick’s deadzone, and changing camera and aiming sensitivity. You can also use aim snap and adjustable lock-on assistance.

- LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
The documented default stick roles are left stick for movement and right stick for camera. The reviewed official information does not provide a Switch 2 button-by-button diagram, so inspect the in-game control menu on your Switch 2 before changing a specific button. Do not assume that a layout described elsewhere applies to your console.
Can I simplify button presses?
Yes. The game lists options for how repeated or held inputs work, plus One Touch Interactions, which can turn most holds and repeated taps into a single tap. Gadget aiming can be set to require holding a button or to toggle on and off. These are separate choices: try the interaction simplification for frequent holds or taps, then set gadget aiming to the style that feels more comfortable.

- Players will have the ability to create and play as an all-new super villain throughout the game
- Set in an expansive open world experience within the DC universe
- It's up to you and a crazy group of misfits to uncover the intentions of earth's new wannabe superheroes
Can I make timing and combat less demanding?
Gameplay speed can be reduced from the 100% default to 90%, 75%, or 50%. The game also lists three difficulty levels. Classic and Caped Crusader have unlimited lives; most Dark Knight missions have limited lives. If losing earned studs is a concern, the option to turn off that loss is listed separately.
Quick-time events (QTEs) can be set to complete automatically or simplified so any button can be pressed or held. WB Games says QTEs cannot be failed regardless of the setting. The pause menu also offers ways to skip puzzles and combat encounters, letting you use those options when a particular section is a barrier rather than changing the rest of your playthrough.

What should I know about Switch 2 and co-op?
Nintendo’s listing identifies TV, tabletop, and handheld play and a single-system player count of one to two. WB Games says local two-player co-op is supported, but online co-op is not. Check the current store listing for platform and store details, which can change.
For local co-op, consider whether both players can comfortably read the text and follow audio or visual cues on the same display. The feature list describes the settings above, but does not confirm that every option is implemented identically on Switch 2; inspect the accessibility and control menus in your copy.
Is screen reader support available?
The WB Games accessibility page says, “We plan to introduce Screen Reader support in a future patch. Please stay tuned for future updates.” That is a stated plan, not confirmation that screen reader support is currently available. Check the in-game menu and official support information for updates.
