Retail prices and stock can change, so check the listing before buying. The set is also listed by third-party sources for retirement in July 2026, but that does not mean remaining retailer stock has disappeared.
What is the Target price for LEGO Piranha Plant 71426?
Target’s page, accessed October 7, 2026, displayed a price of $39.89, a reference price of $56.99, and savings of $17.10. The reduction works out to about 30% of the displayed reference price. The listing showed the set in stock at that time; the price and availability are a point-in-time snapshot, not a promise of what you will see at checkout. Check Target’s listing for the current offer and stock status.
Is LEGO set 71426 discontinued?
Third-party set-history and retirement sources list July 31, 2026, as the set’s exit date: Brickset’s set record gives that date, and Brick Fanatics’ July 2026 retirement list includes 71426. This supports describing the set as reported or listed for retirement; it is not a direct LEGO announcement of its status.
Retail availability can outlast a set’s production or LEGO Shop availability. In the accessed snapshots, LEGO’s US product page showed the set as sold out, while Target showed stock. Those page states can change independently, so a sold-out result at LEGO does not establish that every retailer has run out.

Is it a good fit for a LEGO or Mario fan?
It is most suited to someone looking for a compact, poseable Mario display model rather than an interactive LEGO Super Mario course or digitally enabled toy. The key practical distinction is that its appeal is the recognizable character and adjustable pose; it does not offer digital play functions. If you want a build centered on display, the set’s pipe base and poseable parts are its main features. If you are shopping specifically for interactive play, this is not the right type of set.
