What is Overture?
Overture is a prequel DLC expansion to Lies of P. You control Geppetto’s puppet in an earlier version of Krat, following Lea, the Legendary Stalker, and uncovering events and secrets that precede the Puppet Frenzy tragedy. The premise and expansion framing are described by the PlayStation Blog and the official game page.
The official descriptions also point to new and familiar characters, previously unseen locations, enemies and bosses, plus new weapons and combat options. The reviewed official materials do not give a measured playtime figure, so there is no substantiated duration to use when weighing the purchase.

Which platforms list the expansion?
The reviewed official listings identify Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming on the Xbox storefront. The PlayStation launch post names PS4 and PS5. Because these details come from separate listings, check your own regional platform store for current availability, edition information, and any base-game requirement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you buy the DLC or a bundle?
The Xbox storefront separates the Overture add-on from a bundle containing both Lies of P and Overture. If you already own the base game, compare the add-on listing with your library and confirm that the listing matches your platform. If you do not own it, compare the bundle’s current total with buying the base game and expansion separately. Do not assume that the same editions or access terms apply across storefronts.

When accessed for the official Xbox listing, the displayed prices were $29.99 for the expansion and $89.99+ for the bundle; prices vary by region and can change, so use the live store price rather than treating those figures as current quotes. The PlayStation Blog mentioned a PlayStation Plus discount through June 18, 2025; that launch promotion has expired.
Lies of P game director Ji-won Choi said in an Xbox Wire interview published March 26, 2025: “To emphasize, Overture combined with the base game is going to be the holistic experience of Lies of P – how it was meant to be experienced.” That is the director’s view of the intended experience, not a requirement that every player buy a bundle.
