Lightness Skills are the game’s traversal and movement abilities, not a separate real-world skill system. They help you move through the environment and take part in platforming and other activities. The official Where Winds Meet overview provides the broader wuxia game context; detailed skill descriptions here come from player guides rather than official patch notes.
Game8’s guide groups abilities such as Thousand-Mile Flight, Skywalk Dash, Mighty Drop, Safe Mighty Drop, Abyss Dive, and Moonleap Morph under Lightness Skills. The names suggest different movement uses, but availability and exact behavior should be checked in the current in-game menu because guide information can become outdated.
How to find and use them
- Open your character’s Mystic Skills menu and select its movement or Lightness section.
- Choose an available skill and read its current description and control prompt.
- Use the displayed input in a suitable situation. A traversal move may depend on the terrain, activity, or location.
- If an unlocked ability will not activate, check whether the menu or regional progression indicates an additional requirement.
Exact controls and progression requirements can change with updates, so the in-game prompt is a safer authority for your current version than an older walkthrough.

Unlocking skills is not always enough
Game8’s guide, last updated March 6, 2026, describes a mix of default-available skills and abilities earned through objectives or exploration. It also says the Afterglow Pendant enables use of Grand Lightness Skill and Wallstride in Qinghe, even if the underlying skill has already been unlocked. In other words, distinguish owning or unlocking an ability from meeting the condition to use it in a particular region. Check the current menu and relevant regional objectives before treating that older guide detail as definitive.
Where these skills appear in current content
A developer letter dated September 21, 2026 mentions Lightness Skills alongside Mystic Skills and close-quarters martial arts in the Transdust Ruins mode.
