How to unlock and accept the Liquid Lacquer Wish
Speak with Tipp & Pill in Bellhart. Guides list the Faydown Cloak and the Threefold Melody among the prerequisites, but they differ on the full trigger: the Hollow Knight Wiki also lists completing Queen’s Egg or being in Steel Soul Mode, while Neoseeker describes other Wish prerequisites. Plan a route to Mask Maker before carrying the lacquer
The Hollow Knight Wiki’s suggested path goes through Blasted Steps and Choral Chambers to the Slab, then across eastern Mount Fay to Mask Maker. Neoseeker likewise recommends planning the route and clearing enemies before accepting the delivery. These are community-guide recommendations, not confirmed required quest mechanics. How to keep the Liquid Lacquer intact
The Hollow Knight Wiki reports that the lacquer has three hit points. Hornet taking damage can reduce its durability, as can a heavy landing, hitting a wall during Swift Step, or striking a ceiling during Silk Soar. Take the intact lacquer to Mask Maker’s hut near the summit of Mount Fay and hand it over. The Hollow Knight Wiki reports a reward of 560 Rosaries in Act 2 and 650 Rosaries in Act 3; Neoseeker also reports 560 Rosaries.
