Those ingredients make the game’s identity clear, but they do not establish how much variety the quests offer or how the movement feels in practice. The developer’s press kit and Steam listing are useful for the stated premise and features.

Picture Purrfect Update
The free Picture Purrfect Update arrived across all platforms on 27 August 2025, according to the official press kit. It added characters, cosmetics, areas, cat customization and an expanded photo mode, with the additions fitted into the existing story. Players with completed saves can look for Tanuki to reach the added content.

Birthday Update
In a 12 May 2026 Xbox Wire announcement, Double Dagger Studio’s Business Operations representative Arsenio Navarro described a Birthday Update that was live that day on Xbox Game Pass. It opens more of Kitty’s apartment to explore, adds party decorations and Photo Mode stickers and frames, and includes crossover items from The Amazing Digital Circus, Peak and Gecko Gods, alongside duckling behavior changes and technical fixes. That announcement establishes the update’s Xbox availability at the time; it does not establish identical rollout timing or content on every platform, so check the relevant platform’s patch notes.
Navarro also wrote that “millions of players” had helped Kitty find the way home. This is the studio representative’s qualitative description, not an exact player count or sales figure.

Who is likely to enjoy it?
The advertised mix should appeal most to players who enjoy cozy exploration, expressive animal characters, light questing, customization and taking screenshots. It may also suit families looking for an approachable premise, but age ratings vary by region. SEGA lists the Japanese packaged Switch release as CERO A; that rating applies to that Japanese edition and is not a global rating.
There is not enough established information here to call the game easy, challenging, short, repetitive or especially accessible. Those judgments depend on play and should not be inferred from the cute presentation alone. Likewise, the official feature list does not settle how responsive jumping and movement feel, how clearly objectives are communicated, or how performance varies by platform.
