What the Logitech–iFixit partnership covers
Logitech announced its iFixit partnership in May 2023 to make spare parts, repair guides, and beyond-warranty repair support available for selected products. The initial focus included MX Master and MX Anywhere mice in the United States. Logitech’s original announcement described a limited program, not blanket support for its product range.
On January 23, 2025, Logitech announced that OEM parts and repair guides were available for more than 20 devices across 62 countries. The announced examples included MX Master and MX Anywhere mice, MX Master 3S, MX Keyboard, PRO X Superlight, G305, GPRO, G502 Hero, G915, GPRO and GPRO X headsets, G733, and Zone Learn. That list does not establish support for every model in those product families or availability in every market. Logitech’s expansion announcement also quoted chief operating officer Prakash Arunkundrum: “Our products are designed for exceptional quality and longevity. Repairability extends their lifespan further – enhancing value and customer satisfaction,”
How to find a repair for your Logitech gaming peripheral
- Identify the exact model. Check the product label or the model information in your Logitech account or device documentation. Similar product names can refer to different revisions or models.
- Open the Logitech Repair Hub. Choose the matching device and look for a repair solution, guide, or listed part. The hub groups supported products across mice, keyboards, and headsets, including G Series devices.
- Confirm the repair and part match. Read the guide for the specific job you plan to do, and verify the compatible model numbers on any part listing. A guide or part for one device is not proof of compatibility with another.
- Check warranty status and current availability. The hub recommends DIY repair after the warranty expires. If the product may still be covered, contact Logitech Support before opening it; Logitech warns that self-repair or modification without its direct guidance during the warranty period may void coverage. Check current stock and local availability before ordering.
- Compare the full repair with replacement. Consider the current part and tool cost, shipping and availability in your country, and the difficulty and time for the particular guide. The published program information does not establish that repair always costs less or succeeds in every case.
A concrete gaming mouse repair example: G305 and G502 screws
iFixit lists a genuine Logitech lower-case screw set for the G305 Lightspeed, G502 Lightspeed, and G502 Hero. It is intended to replace missing or stripped lower-case screws, and the listing links to opening guides for those named models. Use the guide for your exact mouse and repair. The listed compatibility does not extend automatically to other G502 variants or unrelated Logitech mice. Part prices and stock can change, so check the listing rather than relying on an old price.
What the partnership’s reported usage figures show
In a July 30, 2026 one-year retrospective, iFixit reported more than 5 million views for Logitech repair content, ninefold year-over-year growth in spare-parts sales, and around 3,000 monthly views apiece for its three most popular repair guides. When a DIY repair makes sense
- The model and component are explicitly supported. You can find a matching guide and a part listing that names your model.
- The warranty question is settled. You have checked the warranty status and followed Logitech’s guidance if coverage may remain.
- The job suits your tools and experience. Follow the exact guide and use tools appropriate to that repair; difficulty varies by task.
- The economics work for you. Compare the current total cost and effort with replacement rather than assuming every repair saves money.
