What’s actually slowing this PC down?

The Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE replaces the traditional microswitches used for a gaming mouse’s main clicks with HITS, Logitech’s system for sensing button travel and delivering a synchronized haptic click. Players can adjust when those clicks register, how far the buttons must return before registering again, and the strength of the feedback. Logitech’s US store listed it for $179.99 on September 27, 2026; that is a dated US-store price, not a guaranteed current price.
What are haptic clicks?
A conventional mouse’s main click is registered through a mechanical switch. A haptic click instead uses a physical sensation generated by a motor to make a registered input feel like a click. In the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, Logitech says an electromagnetic sensor detects button depth, while haptic motors provide feedback synchronized with registered clicks.
The haptic pulse is feedback to the player; it is not the mechanism Logitech says detects the button press. HITS combines that feedback with adjustable sensing thresholds, so the point at which the input registers can be set separately from the sensation of the click.
How does the Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE work?
Logitech calls its system Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS). The company describes it as using inductive electromagnetic sensing to measure how far a main button moves, then applying a haptic pulse when the configured actuation or reset point is reached. The intended effect is to let a player tune both the input threshold and the physical feedback.

Settings you can adjust
Logitech’s product page lists controls for both main keys:
- Ten actuation points: choose how far the button must move before the click registers.
- Five rapid-trigger reset points: choose how far the button must return before it can register again.
- Six haptic intensity levels: adjust the strength of the click sensation.
Logitech says these click settings are adjusted in G HUB. The exact feel will depend on the selected thresholds and haptic level; the available product information does not establish one universally best setup.

Does it really ditch mechanical switches?
Logitech says HITS replaces the traditional microswitches used for the primary click mechanism. That is the precise scope of the change: it does not establish that the entire mouse contains no mechanical parts. The key difference is that the main-button click is sensed inductively rather than registered by a conventional microswitch, while haptics recreate tactile feedback.
What performance does Logitech claim?
Logitech promotes the SUPERSTRIKE as a high-performance wireless gaming mouse and makes several specification and performance claims. They are manufacturer claims, not independent test results:

| Claim | What Logitech says | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Click latency | Up to 30 ms lower click latency | An “up to” claim, not a guaranteed reduction in every game, setup, or configuration. |
| Sensor | HERO 2 tracking up to 44,000 DPI | A stated sensor maximum, not a measure of accuracy or a recommendation to use that sensitivity. |
| Polling | LIGHTSPEED polling up to 8 kHz | A stated maximum; the available material does not establish whether it can be used at the same time as every other maximum setting. |
| Battery | Up to 90 hours | A manufacturer-listed maximum; the conditions for achieving it are not established in the cited product and launch material. |
The latency figure should not be read as proof that every player will experience a 30 ms improvement or play better. Logitech’s launch article also quotes professional players praising the click and customization, but those are vendor-published testimonials, not representative user research or independent evidence of a competitive advantage. No independent head-to-head latency test or user-outcome study is established in the material cited here.
