For Shani’s Dormant Barons quest, search the Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, or The Blue Gate. Shani specifically points to a husk by the Spaceport walls and another in the swamp by the Dam. Baron Husks are static ARC wrecks: breach one, escape the structure while it burns, wait for the flames to die down, then return to collect the loot.
Where can I find a Baron Husk in ARC Raiders?
The Dormant Barons quest lists three maps:
- Dam Battlegrounds
- Spaceport
- The Blue Gate
Shani’s quest dialogue narrows two of those searches to recognizable areas: “There’s a baron husk by the Spaceport walls, and one in the swamp by the Dam.” These are landmark clues rather than guaranteed coordinates, so the exact position can vary with map conditions or updates.
Dam Battlegrounds route
A walkthrough updated November 6, 2025, recommends starting at Water Treatment Control and traveling west toward South Swamp Outpost. Look before the thick swamp brush for a large, spider-like shell that can be seen from a distance. Use this as a practical route and landmark reference, not as a permanent spawn-coordinate guarantee.
Spaceport
Search along the Spaceport walls, the location named directly by Shani. Check the wall line and surrounding cover rather than assuming the husk will be at one fixed point.

How Baron Husks work
A Baron Husk is a fixed ARC wreck that functions as a loot container. It must be breached and is trapped. The husk entry lists 500 Search XP. Shani also warns that a decayed Baron can still injure you, so treat the container as an active hazard rather than harmless scenery.

Safe breach and loot sequence
- Approach from cover. Check for ARC machines and other Raiders before climbing the wreck.
- Climb a leg and move to the center. Start the breach from the central compartment.
- Leave as the breach completes. Immediately hop down from the structure and move behind solid cover.
- Wait for the fire to fade. Do not climb back into the center compartment while the flames are active.
- Return and loot. Once the hazard has burned out, climb back to the center and search the opened husk.
The breach can create noise that attracts ARC or other players. Decide whether the materials are worth the exposure, especially if you are carrying valuable items or are close to extraction.

Using Baron Husks for the First Wave trial
The Search First Wave husks trial awards 300 points per searched First Wave husk. The trial guidance says you do not need to loot after searching to receive credit. It describes Baron Husks as static and limited to roughly 0–3 per map, with Stella Montis excluded. Electromagnetic Storm and Husk Graveyard conditions are listed as increasing husk counts; these details are patch-sensitive.
