Where to get Lord of Blood’s Exultation
- Travel to the Leyndell Catacombs beneath Leyndell, Royal Capital.
- Explore the dungeon until you reach the boss arena.
- Defeat Esgar, Priest of Blood.
- Collect Lord of Blood’s Exultation from the boss reward.
Esgar is the required source of the talisman; it is not purchased from a merchant or found as a normal dungeon pickup. The catacombs are located under Leyndell, so access to the capital’s underground area is required before you can claim the reward.

Is it good for a bleed build?
For a build that causes Blood Loss consistently, this is one of the most direct damage talismans available. Bleed weapons, Ashes of War, spells, skills, and consumables can all support its trigger condition. The best setups keep the fight close enough for the bleed event and maintain enough pressure to benefit from most of the 20-second duration.
When it performs well
- Fast weapons or dual-wield setups that build hemorrhage quickly.
- Boss encounters where the player can remain near the target.
- Cooperative play, when another nearby character can cause the bleed.
- Situations where the build already uses the White Mask, since the item notes state that the effects stack.
When to leave it out
- Weapons and spells that rarely or never cause Blood Loss.
- Fights where targets stay outside the approximately 7-meter trigger range.
- Builds that need the talisman slot for survivability, stamina, equipment load, or another damage effect.
- Encounters in which the buff cannot be maintained long enough to justify the slot.
How much damage does it add?
The headline figure is 20% more attack power in normal play, not a universal promise of exactly 20% more final damage. Attack power is only one part of the damage calculation, so armor, resistances, motion values, buffs, critical hits, and the attack or spell being used can make the observed increase differ from the headline percentage.

Lord of Blood’s Exultation and the White Mask
The item entry specifically notes that Lord of Blood’s Exultation stacks with the White Mask. That combination lets a bleed-focused character benefit from both effects when Blood Loss occurs, making it a natural pairing for hemorrhage builds. The trade-off is that the talisman still occupies one of the character’s limited talisman slots, and the White Mask occupies the head-slot choice that would otherwise be used for another helmet.

- Use at least one reliable source of Blood Loss.
- Stay close enough for the bleed event to occur within roughly 7 meters.
- Trigger the effect early in an attack sequence so more of the 20-second window benefits from it.
- Check whether your weapon, spell, or skill actually scales with the attack-power increase you are trying to amplify.
- Compare the talisman against defensive options before entering a fight where bleed is difficult to trigger.
- In PvP, plan around the listed 12% value rather than the PvE-oriented 20% figure.
