The figure describes the accumulated Steam reviews at that access time. It does not tell you how every player rates the game, nor does it isolate reviews written after a particular patch. Read it as a broad indication that player opinion on Steam is divided.
How launch reception differed from the later snapshot
On August 29, 2025, the day after Steam’s recorded release date, PCGamesN reported that the game had a Mixed label based on 342 reviewers. Its account highlighted player complaints about inconsistent frame rates and choppy cinematics, while also noting players who enjoyed the game. That smaller, early sample captures launch reactions; it should not be treated as the current consensus or as a description of every review.

The launch discussion centered in part on PC performance, but the available reporting does not establish a universal frame-rate result across hardware. Nor does the later Steam aggregate show whether individual concerns were fixed. The score and launch report are evidence of divided reception at two different moments, not a controlled before-and-after test.
What kind of game is Lost Soul Aside?
Steam categorizes Lost Soul Aside as Action, Adventure, and RPG. Its store description presents a single-player action-adventure RPG in which Kaser sets out to save his sister and humanity, fighting enemies and bosses with weapon combos while solving puzzles and developing abilities. The game was announced as released for PS5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store in PlayStation’s August 29, 2025 launch announcement.

What the post-launch updates establish
The official Steam community update feed records multiple post-launch updates for PC and PS5. They document shipped fixes and additions; they do not claim that all launch performance issues disappeared.

- Steam Deck verification — December 2025: The developer announced verification and said the default controls, interface text, and default graphics configuration worked well on the device. This is the developer’s announcement, not independent performance testing.
- Patch 1.103 — April 28, 2026: Added cosmetic appearances and weapon-accessory effects.
- Patch 1.104 — June 17, 2026: Fixed an issue that could prevent certain Buckhorn Palace scenes from loading under specific conditions.
These notes show that the game received ongoing changes after launch. They do not make a blanket statement about frame rates or prove that every player’s launch-era issue has been resolved. Results may depend on the game version and the hardware in use.

PC, PS5 digital, or PS5 disc?

PlayStation said a free playable demo was available at launch. That announcement dates to August 29, 2025, so check the relevant store to see whether a demo is still available in your region before relying on it as a way to try the game.
