Vivo Keyd Stars said it is pausing its Counter-Strike 2 project; LOUD’s reported agreement with the Largados y Pelados roster ended before that team officially represented the organization. The developments came as Brazil moved to prohibit fixed-odds betting, but the available reporting does not establish that the measure caused LOUD’s decision.
What happened to Keyd Stars’ CS2 project?
Vivo Keyd Stars described its move as a pause, not a permanent withdrawal. In a statement reproduced by Dust2.com.br, the organization said changes to the competitive model and to Brazil’s commercial and regulatory environment led it to reassess its plans. It said it would pause its CS2 project “at this time” and evaluate new opportunities.
“As recentes mudanças no modelo competitivo do cenário e no ambiente comercial e regulatório no país nos levaram a reavaliar nossos planos. Após essa análise, decidimos, neste momento, dar uma pausa em nosso projeto competitivo de CS2 e avaliar novas oportunidades.”
That is Vivo Keyd Stars’ Portuguese wording; the English rendering here is a translation for understanding, not a separately verified official translation. Dust2.com.br reported that the players became free agents and that EstrelaBet was the club’s principal sponsor.

Did LOUD officially field a Counter-Strike roster?
No. LOUD’s reported agreement with the Largados y Pelados (LP) roster was announced in May, but the team had not officially represented the organization. In October, HLTV reported that captain Leonardo “zmb” Toledo and coach Pablo “disturbed” Fernandes said they were no longer contracted to LOUD. The roster planned to stay together while remaining open to individual offers.
The reporting reviewed does not establish LOUD’s specific reason for releasing the roster. Its situation is therefore distinct from Keyd Stars’: Keyd announced a pause and gave reasons; the LP roster’s reported contract release came before an official LOUD debut, and no confirmed explanation from the organization is established here.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How are the two Counter-Strike developments connected?
The timing puts the news in the same wider Brazilian betting and esports context, but it does not prove a shared cause. Keyd Stars explicitly cited both competitive-model changes and Brazil’s commercial and regulatory environment. The reporting about LOUD’s LP roster does not confirm why that arrangement ended. The betting measure is relevant context, not an established explanation for both developments.
