LOVE ETERNAL pairs a psychological-horror story about a girl taken from her family with precision platforming built around reversing gravity. Its premise and distinctive mechanic give it a clear appeal for players who want both an atmospheric mystery and demanding movement challenges—but the official descriptions alone cannot establish how its difficulty, controls, or pacing feel in play.
What is LOVE ETERNAL?
LOVE ETERNAL is a psychological-horror platformer starring Maya, who is taken from her family and trapped in a castle associated with a god’s domain. Steam describes its narrative as unsettling and experimental, while the official Nintendo listing and developer press kit present Maya’s capture as the story’s setup. Those descriptions frame the game around psychological unease and mystery rather than horror alone. Steam · Nintendo · Developer press kit

How does the gravity-flip platforming work?
Maya can reverse gravity during a jump, shifting her movement upward and letting her cross rooms arranged around hazards. Official descriptions point to spikes, lasers, switches, and traps as parts of those challenges. Steam calls the game a challenging precision platformer and says it contains more than 100 screens. Steam · Nintendo
The central appeal is the combination: gravity reversal is not just a story-world detail but the key movement hook, while the screens are designed as platforming tests. That makes the game a natural prospect for players who enjoy learning a precise mechanic and applying it across repeated, hazard-filled rooms. The available descriptions do not establish the actual control feel, difficulty curve, or how forgiving a failed attempt is.

Is it a good fit if you want both platforming and a story?
The game is presented as a blend of exacting platform challenges and an experimental horror narrative. If you like platformers that ask you to focus on movement but also want an unsettling premise to pull you onward, LOVE ETERNAL has the ingredients for that combination: Maya’s disappearance, the castle setting, and gravity-based room challenges. If your priority is a proven difficulty profile or a specific balance between story and action, the official descriptions do not provide enough detail to promise that experience.
Steam’s page, retrieved in 2026, displayed 448 all-time user reviews with 96% positive and 25 recent reviews with 92% positive. The developer press kit still gives the year as 2025, but the later, more specific publisher and storefront records state February 19, 2026. For the Switch version, Nintendo lists a digital edition, single-system play for one player, and TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. Its US listing names American English, French, German, Spanish, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Brazilian Portuguese, displays a “Mild Violence” rating, and warns people with epilepsy or a history of seizures or unusual reactions to flashing lights or patterns to consult a doctor. That store information is not a complete accessibility feature inventory. Nintendo

Verdict: who should consider LOVE ETERNAL?
LOVE ETERNAL is most promising for players drawn to precise platforming, pixel-art presentation, atmospheric horror, and narrative mystery. Its gravity-reversal hook and more-than-100-screen scope give the platforming side a concrete identity, while Maya’s capture and the castle setting establish the story’s unsettling direction. Whether that mix lands for you depends on the feel of its controls, challenge, and pacing—qualities that storefront descriptions and review figures cannot settle.
