EA acknowledged a launch-period problem that kept some Madden NFL 24 preorder bonuses from appearing on some platforms. First confirm the Deluxe Edition purchase and the account used to play, then check Ultimate Team’s Binder and Unopened Packs. EA also said PS4 and PS5 progress, items, and currency do not transfer between versions, even though preorder bonuses were intended to appear on both.
What the Deluxe Edition preorder included
EA SPORTS described the Madden NFL 24 Deluxe Edition as a digital-only offer. Its listed benefits were:

- A Josh Allen Elite Player Item, a choice of two Strategy Items, and NFL Marble Bills Gear. EA’s Madden NFL 24 preorder details list these offers and conditions.
EA listed Josh Allen, two Strategy Items, and NFL Marble Bills Gear among standard preorder rewards as well, so those items were not described as Deluxe-exclusive. EA Play benefits were separate: EA Play Pro included monthly 500 Madden Points from August 2023 through July 2024, distinct from the one-time 4,600-point Deluxe offer. These are historical offer terms, not a statement that the benefits can still be claimed.
Why a reward may appear to be missing
During the game’s 2023 launch period, EA Forums Community Manager EA_Kent said, “We’re still working on fixing the issues with missing pre-order bonuses on some platforms.” EA later clarified that players were supposed to receive preorder bonuses on both console generations, but a problem prevented some from appearing on both. This documents a launch-era issue; it does not establish whether a particular account is affected or what EA can restore today. EA’s forum response also explains the platform distinction.

EA said Madden NFL 24 progress, items, and currency were unique to each platform: what a player earned or spent on PS4 did not carry over to PS5, or vice versa. That restriction is different from the preorder-bonus issue. A missing item on a second console generation may therefore require checking both the purchase account and the specific version being played, rather than assuming ordinary progress or currency should have transferred.
What to check before contacting EA
- Verify the purchase and account. Check the platform or EA account order history for the Madden NFL 24 Deluxe Edition transaction. Make sure you are playing with the account associated with that purchase. EA’s missing-content guidance recommends checking transaction history for missing points.
- Look in the right Ultimate Team locations. Check the Binder for player items or collectibles and Unopened Packs for pack rewards. EA’s current Madden guidance gives these locations, although its Madden-specific section covers Madden NFL 25.
- Allow for a possible delivery delay. EA’s Madden NFL 25 guidance says packs, players, and other content can take up to 24 hours to appear. This is general guidance, not a Madden NFL 24-specific guarantee or a promise that waiting will resolve every missing preorder reward.
- Note which version and reward are affected. Record whether the missing content is Madden Points, a player item, a pack, or cosmetic gear, and whether it is missing on PS4, PS5, or both. EA’s statements distinguish platform-specific progress and currency from preorder bonuses that were intended for both generations.
- Open a support request with evidence. Use the Madden NFL 24 support page. Include your platform username, the missing item or points, where and when you expected them, the console generation or generations involved, and proof of purchase.
What public information cannot confirm
EA’s public statements establish that some preorder bonuses were missing during launch, but they do not provide a reliable count of affected players or confirm the present-day status of any individual entitlement. Account-specific recovery and eligibility need to be confirmed by EA support. The cited guidance does not establish that buying Madden Points separately, reinstalling the game, purchasing another copy, or changing platforms restores a missing preorder bonus.
