Its swimsuit cosmetics were branded Swimsuit Special. The launch and the first costume window have passed; as of October 8, 2026, two announced costume shop departure deadlines are still ahead.
When did the Marvel Rivals swimsuit event start?
The Rivals Summer Festival update went live June 18, 2026, at 09:00 UTC, without server downtime. Players could enter the new Hellfire Bay Beach social hub through the Krakoan flower portal in Times Square or the Rivals Summer Festival interface. The official June 18 patch notes called it “an entirely new social map: Hellfire Bay Beach.”
“Summer Party” is not the official name used for the 2026 event. The festival was the broader event; Swimsuit Special was the label for its summer costumes.
What was available at Hellfire Bay Beach?
The festival combined social activities, missions, rewards, and paid in-game cosmetics. Activities did not all share one end date, so the launch date should not be treated as the deadline for every feature.

Those Unit totals are announced activity rewards, not a measure of the event’s popularity or participation.
When was the Summer Uplifting Welcome?
The Summer Uplifting Welcome ran from June 28 through July 1, 2026. A 15-minute ceremony was scheduled to begin at the top of each hour, with the final ceremony starting July 1 at 00:00 UTC. The June 24 official announcement said the first would begin “right on the dot” at June 28, 00:00 UTC.

Participants were offered 200 Units, the “Rivals Summer Festival 2026” title, and the universal “Uplifting Welcome” emote. The schedule and rewards are historical; these ceremonies have ended.
When do the swimsuit costumes leave the store?
On September 24, 2026, the developer announced two waves of costume departures. Each cutoff is at 02:00 UTC after the stated date; these are store deadlines, not event start times.

Which costumes were in the first launch window?
The initial limited-time bundles were Emma Frost – White Wave Queen and Doctor Strange – Nautical Mystic. Their listed window ran from June 18 through July 16, 2026, ending at 09:00 UTC. That first window has passed; the later departure schedule above covers additional Swimsuit Special costumes.

Is the Marvel Swimsuit Special comic part of the 2026 event?
No 2026 event reward or current comic availability is established here. A Marvel swimsuit comic, Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1, was reported in 2025 as a prior-year tie-in.
