Marvel Rivals lets you tailor reticles to your preferences and, according to guides published in 2025, save different configurations for individual heroes. Start in the settings menu, choose the closest current labels for Combat and HUD, then adjust one option at a time so you can tell what feels clearer or easier to control. The seven settings below are a practical checklist, not an official ranking or a promise of better performance.

1. Choose a reticle shape that suits the attack

Reticle shape is customizable, so consider how a simple or more elaborate design reads alongside the hero’s attacks. A compact shape may feel less distracting; a more distinctive one may be easier for you to track. Those are personal trade-offs, not measured advantages. Try a shape in a match or practice setting and judge whether it stays easy to see without pulling attention from the target. PC Gamer’s reticle guide describes shape as one of the available customizations.

2. Adjust reticle size

Change the size until the reticle is legible on your display but does not cover more of the target than you want. Check it against different backgrounds and at the distances where you usually aim. There is no universally recommended size in the cited guide. PC Gamer identifies size as an adjustable reticle attribute.

3. Pick a color you can distinguish

Choose a color that you can readily pick out in the scenes you play. Visibility depends on the background and the individual player, so no single color is established as best for everyone. If a color blends into common effects or environments for you, try another and compare. The reticle guide lists color among the customizable choices. PC Gamer’s guide

4. Decide whether reticle animation is useful

The reticle can dynamically change during actions that affect accuracy. That feedback may help some players notice a change; others may prefer a steady sight that moves less. Test animated and static behavior with the heroes you play, then keep the version that is easier for you to read. The guide presents this as a preference, not a rule or performance guarantee. 5. Save reticle presets for easy switching

Different saved reticles let you keep alternatives available while you experiment instead of rebuilding a setup each time. A practical approach is to save a restrained, simple option and a more distinctive one, then compare them in play. The available guide describes saving and switching among reticles, though exact controls may differ if the game’s interface has changed. TechRadar’s 2025 guide

6. Set a reticle for one hero—or for everyone

To customize a specific hero, change the selector from All Heroes to that hero before editing. Keeping the global selection is the straightforward choice when you want one reticle configuration across the roster; selecting an individual hero lets you tailor the sight to that character’s attack style. The difference is whether you want consistency or per-hero flexibility.

A 2025 TechRadar guide describes opening settings, choosing Keyboard or Controller, then going to Combat and HUD for reticle options; it places the hero selector at the upper left. Updates may move or rename controls, so follow the closest current menu labels if the route differs. TechRadar’s guide

7. Tune controller sensitivity and button mapping

If you play with a controller, sensitivity and button mapping are additional options to consider. Adjust sensitivity to a level that feels manageable, and change mappings when a different layout is more comfortable for your hands or play style. TechRadar also describes hero-specific controller settings. Its guide does not establish universal sensitivity values or a single best mapping, so use comfort and control as your criteria rather than copying an unsupported preset. Sharing settings across platforms

PC Gamer’s guide describes importing and exporting reticle codes as a PC-only feature; for consoles, it says to copy the individual settings manually. Treat that as dated guidance rather than a guarantee for every current build, and check the options shown in your game. PC Gamer’s guide

Marvel Rivals’ official patch notes for Version 20250221, published February 18, 2025, state: “All changes will now automatically upload to server storage, preventing loss due to local issues.” That statement documents what the developers announced for that version; it does not by itself establish every current backup or cross-progression behavior.
