Yes—Marvel Rivals supports cross-platform play when players are on the same server, and it supports cross-progression through linked platform accounts. Those are separate features: crossplay lets you play with friends; cross-progression lets you use one selected character and its shared progress across linked platforms. Rank records remain platform-specific.
Which platforms can you play Marvel Rivals on?
The official December 6, 2024 release FAQ lists Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Store, and Loading Bay. Availability can vary by platform and region, so check the relevant store for your device.

Does Marvel Rivals have crossplay?
Yes. Players on different supported platforms can play together if they are all on the same server, according to the release FAQ. That confirms cross-platform play, but does not settle current ranked matchmaking pools, party restrictions, or the location of any in-game crossplay toggle. Check the current game menus and official notices for those details rather than relying on older beta-era rules.
Does Marvel Rivals have cross-progression?
Yes. In its November 14, 2025 account cross-progression Q&A, Marvel Rivals said eligible accounts on Epic, Steam, Loading Bay, PlayStation, and Xbox can be linked so you can sign in through a linked account and use the same selected primary character. Progress, collections, and paid content are associated with that character.

Cross-progression does not combine characters or records from separate accounts. If linked accounts already have different characters, you choose one as primary; the other character data remains stored and can be restored by changing the primary character or unlinking. Platform-exclusive costumes remain usable only on their designated platform; on other platforms, the character displays the default costume.
How do you link Marvel Rivals accounts?
- In the game, open Settings → Other → Account → Account Binding.
- Select the platform account you want to link and complete the verification steps.
- If the linked accounts contain separate characters, select which character will be primary, then wait for the binding to finish.
The Q&A states that choosing another primary character has a 30-minute cooldown, while unlinking a platform starts a 180-day wait before that same platform can be linked again. It also says a bound PlayStation Network account cannot be replaced with a different PSN account, although the original account may be relinked. These rules may change; read the current in-game confirmation carefully before unlinking or switching characters. Linking game accounts does not automatically update Discord or Twitch Drops connections, which may need to be rebound separately.

Does rank carry over from console to PC?
No. The shared character’s level and other character progress can carry over, but battle data, rank, and leaderboards are separate for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The Q&A says season rewards are based on the highest valid device rank from the prior season, subject to the game’s settlement instructions.

Paid content is stored on the selected character, but that does not mean every item can be bought or used identically on every platform. The cross-progression Q&A says a bundle already bought on PlayStation or Xbox may not be available for repurchase on that same platform account; it suggests trying another linked platform if you want to make a second purchase. Platform-exclusive costumes remain restricted as described above. The official PlayStation listing describes in-game purchases as optional, and the November 12, 2025 Season 5 patch notes include examples of store bundles and a battle pass. Neither source establishes current prices or a complete current store catalog.
