How Marvel Rivals gameplay works
Marvel Rivals is built around 6v6 team matches in which heroes bring distinct powers. Some characters can combine abilities through Team-Up Skills, and destructible environments can change the battlefield during a match. The official introduction describes the game as featuring “intricate environments, fast-paced gameplay, and ever-changing battlefields.” Marvel Rivals’ official site says all heroes are unlocked and free to play.

What Season 10 confirms about character gameplay
Season 10: Butcher’s Blasphemy began September 11, 2026. Its patch notes, published September 9, introduce Gorr the God Butcher as a new villain and describe a rework to Scarlet Witch’s abilities and gameplay. Read the official Season 10 patch notes.

The official developer diary dated September 9 also covers a new map, events, costumes and balance changes, but does not announce another new playable hero in the material reviewed. The official news index is useful for following announcements, but check the dated article and patch notes for details relevant to a particular update.
Why patch dates matter
Character abilities and balance can change between updates. Season 10’s notes include gameplay adjustments alongside time-limited events and digital offers, so a kit description should be tied to its patch rather than treated as permanent. For current match decisions, consult the newest official patch notes and in-game descriptions.

What the online character leaks actually establish
A community discussion titled “All Current Leaked Characters in Marvel Rivals,” posted August 11, 2026, discusses alleged future characters. It is community speculation, not an official roster announcement. The thread itself cautions that some material may be placeholders, removed, or changed before it reaches the game. See the community discussion.
The reviewed Season 10 patch notes and developer diary confirm Gorr and Scarlet Witch’s rework, but they do not confirm a specific future roster of leaked characters or gameplay kits. A datamine, voice-line interpretation or community list is not equivalent to an official reveal or a character appearing as playable in-game.

How to evaluate a claim
- Official announcement: Look for a Marvel Rivals or NetEase announcement that names the character and describes the release or gameplay.
- Playable in-game: A character’s appearance as a selectable hero is direct evidence of playable status; distinguish that from a cameo or other reference.
- Datamine or voice-line interpretation: Treat it as an unconfirmed clue. Files and dialogue can be placeholders, altered or removed.
- Rumor or community list: Record the source and date, but do not infer a role, kit, launch window or confirmed status from the list alone.
For alleged unreleased characters, the reviewed sources do not establish individual roles, damage, healing or defense functions, mobility, difficulty, Team-Up interactions or patch-specific kits. Assigning those details would go beyond what is confirmed.
