The two cosmetics were Moon Knight — Lunar General and Squirrel Girl — Cheerful Dragoness. A January 1, 2025 report described them as Chinese New Year-themed skins and attributed their promotional announcement to the Marvel Rivals account. The report reproduced this line for Lunar General: “The invincible general of K’un Lun, clad in azure scales and ready to guard the Temple of the Crescent Moon.” ComicBook.com’s January 1 report gave the launch timing as January 2 at 11 p.m. Pacific.
