Yes. Marvel Rivals’ Season 1.5 balance post increased the ultimate energy cost for Cloak & Dagger, Invisible Woman, Loki, and Luna Snow. Cloak & Dagger’s Eternal Bond also received mixed changes: its healing per segment rose, but its duration fell and overlapping segments stopped stacking. These are historical changes announced for Season 1.5 in February 2025—not a statement of the game’s current balance in 2026.
Which Strategist ultimate costs increased?
The official Season 1.5 balance post, published February 19, 2025, lists these before-and-after energy costs:

These figures are the patch post’s stated ultimate energy thresholds. They do not by themselves show how often each hero used an ultimate in matches or how the changes affected outcomes.
What changed about Cloak & Dagger’s Eternal Bond?
Eternal Bond was not adjusted in only one direction. Its healing per segment increased from 220/s to 250/s, while its duration dropped from 10 seconds to 8 seconds. The pause between segments shortened from 1 second to 0.67 seconds, and overlapping segments no longer stack: only one healing effect applies. The notes also say camera control is unlocked during activation.

Outside the ultimate, the same balance post raised Terror Cape’s vulnerability effect from 20% to 28%. That is a separate ability adjustment, not part of Eternal Bond’s energy-cost change.
Were all the Strategist changes nerfs?
Loki also gained Mystical Missile charges
Alongside the higher God of Mischief cost, Loki’s Mystical Missile charges increased from 10 to 12. The notes therefore describe a higher ultimate threshold and a separate increase to his missile charges, rather than a uniform reduction to every part of his kit.

Adam Warlock received damage and healing increases
Adam Warlock’s changes in the Strategist section were not an ultimate-cost increase. Quantum Magic damage rose from 55 to 60, and its damage falloff at 40 meters changed from 50% to 60%. Soul Bond healing to linked allies increased from 10/s to 15/s.
Luna Snow’s Atlas Bond adjustment was a Team-Up change
The notes increased Atlas Bond Team-Up healing from 50 to 75 and its slow effect from 20% to 30%. These are Team-Up adjustments, separate from Fate of Both Worlds’ increased ultimate energy cost.
When were these changes announced?
The balance post is titled “Marvel Rivals Version 20250221 Balance Post – Season 1.5!” and is dated February 19, 2025. The separate official Version 20250221 update notes are dated February 20. They say Season 1.0 concluded on February 21, 2025, at 08:00 UTC, and that players retained their ending ranks into Season 1.5. Those release notes also cover The Thing and Human Torch, the Central Park Convergence map, and other season features.

The notes establish the announced Season 1.5 values and adjustments; they do not report resulting win rates, pick rates, or match outcomes. A higher ultimate cost indicates that more energy was required to reach that ultimate under the stated patch rules, but the notes alone cannot establish the change’s overall effect on a hero’s performance in live matches.

The balance post also said: “As a reminder, players can look forward to comprehensive adjustments to Team-Up abilities beyond numerical tweaks starting in Season 2.” That is the developers’ stated expectation at the time, not evidence of what later updates ultimately changed.
