When did Marvel Rivals Season 7 start?
Season 7 began on March 20, 2026. The Version 20260320 update started at 09:00 UTC, with the official announcement estimating two hours of maintenance. The season was titled “The Hunt is On.” Official Season 7 launch announcement
Season 7.5 followed as a mid-season update: the official Dev Vision page, dated April 14, 2026, said it would arrive on April 17. The official homepage later listed a Season 10 announcement dated September 9, 2026, confirming that Season 7 has ended. Official Marvel Rivals news and announcements
What was new in Season 7?
White Fox joined the roster
The update introduced White Fox, identified in the launch notes as Ami Han. Launch story content included “The Hunt is On,” White Fox’s “Shards of Hope,” and Captain America’s “Real Power.”

Album and Basketball Challenge
The new Album system let players capture and share in-game snapshots. A Basketball Challenge was available in Times Square or the Practice Range.
Battle Pass and event content
The “Tablet of Life and Time” Battle Pass featured ten new costume sets, including looks for Hela, Peni Parker and Luna Snow. The announcement also described the “Dual Life of Peter Parker” event, where completing missions could earn the free Deadpool “The Spirit Guard” uniform. Store bundles and limited-time drops mentioned in the launch announcement were offers tied to that historical launch period; it does not establish that they remain available.

What changed in Competitive Mode?
- Placement: After ten placement matches, rank adjustment was set to fall between -100 and +100 competitive points, based on personal performance and tier.
- Hero bans: Each team could ban three heroes instead of two.
- Ban timer: Each ban round was shortened from 20 seconds to 15 seconds.
- Map pool: Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya returned to the Competitive Mode map pool.
- Gold reward: Reaching Gold or higher offered the White Fox “Secret Agent” costume.
The launch notes also described an in-game esports system for tournament overviews, live streams, replays and highlights, schedules, rules, standings and leaderboards. Some replays could expire. The same announcement said Marvel Rivals Ignite Preseason would begin March 27, 2026, and mentioned partner team bundles; these are launch-era announcements, not confirmation of present availability.
