The official promotion matching that description ran December 20–22, 2024, and its reward-claim deadline passed on December 29, 2024. October 2026 has separate free-reward events, but neither is the old streamer-match giveaway.
Is the streamer-match costume giveaway live this weekend?
No. The official Marvel Rivals promotion that asked players to match with a streamer was the Winter Celebration Streamer Giveaway, held on December 20, 21, and 22, 2024. Players had until December 29, 2024, at 11 PM PST to submit the questionnaire needed to claim a reward. Both the match windows and claim deadline have passed.

What happened in the October 2026 events?
Marvel Rivals’ Season 10.5 patch notes, published October 6, 2026, announce events beginning October 9 at 09:00 UTC. They are separate from the 2024 streamer giveaway:

- Play with Friends Worldwide through Online Compatibility – This collection also includes rollback net code for a smooth and enjoyable experience online. Play casually or competitively through casual, ranked, or custom matches using rules of your choosing!
- Infinity Finale quest event: Runs October 9, 2026, at 09:00 UTC through December 10, 2026, at 09:00 UTC. Completing quests earns Thor’s The Avengers costume for free.
- New Twitch Drops period: Runs October 9, 2026, at 12:00 UTC through November 6, 2026, at 09:00 UTC, and includes Angela – Will of Galacta costume content.
A separate official Discord announcement says the preceding Season 10 Drops—including the Squirrel Girl Will of Galacta costume—end October 9, 2026, at 09:00 UTC. These drops, the quest reward, and a match-with-a-streamer promotion have different requirements; a streamer match is not the way to claim the announced Thor costume.
How the expired streamer giveaway worked
The rules are useful if you are checking an old notification or comparing the offer with a future promotion. They do not apply to current matches.

Match windows and qualifying match
Players had to enter a Quick Match during one of three windows: December 20, 2024, from 3–4 PM PST, or December 21 or 22 from 1–2 PM PST. A match qualified if it began during the relevant window, even if it ended after the window closed. The other required condition was matching with an officially invited streamer.
Being on the streamer’s team was not required. The event FAQ said: “You will qualify for this event regardless of whether you are on the same team as the streamers or not, as long as you matched the streamers during the designated time frame.”

Server and console conditions
You needed to be on the same server as the invited streamer. Console players could take part if cross-platform play was enabled for Quick Match. The event FAQ included PlayStation guidance and linked to Xbox support instructions.
How players checked a match and claimed a reward
The event page directed players to check names in the match or match history, or watch the invited streamer’s livestream. NetEase said qualified players would be contacted by in-game email. They then had to complete the questionnaire in that email and select a costume bundle by December 29, 2024, at 11 PM PST.

Do not assume an offer is active because an old post or clip is circulating. Check the current official event announcement for the event dates, the eligible mode, whether the streamer must be officially invited, any server or cross-play conditions, and how a reward is claimed. For the 2024 offer, all of those details were part of eligibility; simply playing a match with a streamer was not enough.
